YAAAS Go Hillary!

Also, my Mom called me tonight, a long time Republican, and said she can't vote for Trump or Cruz and is probably going to vote for Hilary. I almost chocked.

I would never do that when someone like Trump is on the other side (or anyone in the current GOP), but that says something about Hillary, that she can't inspire a vote against a Looney Toons character. She's gotta change her messaging if we don't want the general to get dangerous. Of course, she will because she's an experienced politician with a great team.

The stakes will be more clear once we have the contrast of a Dem vs Trump... dont worry too much.

On the other hand, it is also the responsibility of Hillary and her supporters to cater to these disenfranchised and cynical young people. I just hope Hillary doesn't start running to the center instead of to the left come the general... because that is what would not convince these people that she is a candidate for them.

Hillary really is a pretty robotic speaker. Very jarring after 8 years of 'Bams.

Edit: And "love and kindness" is a pretty treacly message. Perhaps I'm having trouble disentangling it from Cory Booker's reading of the execrable poetry of Maya Angelou at a previous Clinton rally.

Hillary is totally wooden. She's more of a bureaucrat than a public speaker. But that really isn't a big deal. I mean, a properly programmed Rubio can sound pretty charismatic, but it doesn't make what he's saying any better.

Many Rubio supporters are already pointing fingers at Ohio governor John Kasich for the Florida senator’s closer than expected loss to Donald Trump in the Virginia primary, writes Guardian politics reporter Ben Jacobs:

In their reasoning, if every Kasich voter had just supported Rubio, he would have won. But aside from that specious logic, Virginia’s primary is entirely proportional. Unlike most other Super Tuesday states holding Republican primaries, there are no thresholds for candidate to win delegates. This means all five candidates on the ballot, including Ben Carson, will net delegates from the Old Dominion.

However, if Rubio falls short of the 20% threshold in states like Alabama or Texas, then he can blame Kasich supporters. But, in Virginia, Rubio hasn’t lost a single delegate. He’s just lost some bragging rights.

.

Goddamn Hillary's voice is awful, sounds like my grandma who smokes a pack day, and is this the typical quality of speech from her? If so, Trump is by far a better oratorian.

YEEEEA BOOOOOI

CRUZ MISSILE BABY

Hillary is a mess. The interesting thing about the numbers is that in Arkansas Hillary is not winning as big as Bernie is winning in Vermont. Bernie is approaching 30% there, its crazy.

Are you surprised? In the last debate she went so far as to call the system rigged just like he has been doing forever. She needs his supporters to win so of course she's going to talk his talk. I just hope she actually believes it.
She doesn't, but what can you do? Vote Drumpf?

She's had much better speeches. I wouldn't call her an orator, though.

Clinton's numbers in Georgia and Alabama are almost on par with South Carolina. Her support among black Democrats is rock-solid.

Yup... at least she is a pretty solid debater. Her speeches are just not very inspiring. That said, it is good seeing a strong female candidate with a shot at the white house.

This speech is just so bad. Man. It's just gibberish talking points.

He neglected to understand that any Democratic-led revolution should probably include one of its most important voting bases: black folk.

One factor that I have not heard much of regarding Bernie's lack of support with blacks is the religious aspect. Black voters tend to be more religious (at least in among Democratic voters). Sanders is pretty much nonreligious. I am sure this has to be a significant factor in his under-performance.
