I hate when people try to equate todays democratic party to the the part of the past.

He wasn't willing to even denounce the KKK. Made me sick. Makes me sick to know there are people out there that are happy that Trump wasn't willing to denounce them outright either.
Or on the same token, today's Republicans to the Republicans of the past. The parties couldn't be more different from those that shared their namesakes 50+ years ago.

I agree with everything you have posted. But that doesn't make Cruz or Rubio look any better. Trump being vague is actually helping him right now compared to those two.

I know that it helps him politically, but that wasn't my point. My point was that it does not make Trump "more sane."

Trump is the most insane candidate to ever achieve this level of political viability in United States history.

Oh Rubio sweetie. 1)the GOP as you know it is dead and 2)you aren't the party of Lincoln.

Rubio was the orignal tea party darling. He helped destroy the old GOP. Now he's trying to suck the establishment's teets for his life.

2 is right though, I don't really know why pubs make that connection.

He's barely doing better than he was projected to. Clinton, on the other hand, is very much outperforming expectations.

Demographic breakdown of all primaries.

How they did vs. how they should have done.

Again, I was responding to someone who said Clinton was meant to run the states.

I would have pushed the rest of that guys face into his neck. For that "the klan is a leftist organization! They're the notary arm of he Democratic Party!" How fucking stupid do you think people have to be to fix your face to jump in a time machine and pretend that the 19th century is today. To act like the southern strategy didn't exist. To act as if southern democrats didn't defect to one party because of another party leading on civil rights in the 60s.

Fuck him.

The state that has a large minority population, when his best showing among AA has been 77/22 and losing Latinos nearly 2 to 1? A state that Hillary Clinton managed to carry in 2008 after the nomination was essentially over?

The issue is not how many states Bernie wins. If Bernie had lost every single state by 5% tonight he would have been in better shape than winning all 5 he targeted by the margins he did. Everything is proportional. There are no big states on the map where Bernie can hope to out pace Hillary. Even in Califnorai, if Bernie beat her by 20 points he would only net enough delegates to cut her current lead by 200 when she's up nearly 660 (pledged and super).

For Bernie to have a chance at a tie, he needed 469 delegates this evening. Without CO and MN allocated, he's currently at 145, although nothing from Mass, Co or MN have been awarded.

At this point it's legitimately frustrating how many people either don't understand how this works, or they do but still insist Bernie is in the race. He's not, short of Hillary being physically incapacitated in some way or something happening outside of the race preventing her from continuing on. Some of the posts here insisting otherwise are actually cringe-worthy. People wanting to support him, or ones where they are glad he is staying in (for now) to push Hillary further to the left etc are logical and reasonable and I fully support that. Ones insisting that this race isn't over and he still has a chance are not. At the very least people insisting that need to actually show math and polls that lead any sort of credence to these statements.

Seriously? I thought it was all pretty damn clear. Didn't agree with it all, but there wasn't anything particularly hard to follow.

He said a lot of things that in and of themselves were clear statements, but what he is resting his candidacy on and what he actually wants to do to execute the things he said are beyond comprehension from that speech.

This is true and I dare anyone here try to walk that shit back because I can quote y'all asses for days.

Yep, especially considering the amount of money Bernie is able to fundraise all those posts asking him to drop out after SC do look like they are focused on worry rather than strength. As Trump wraps up the nomination he will just start attacking Clinton, hurting her, in her contests with Bernie. Sanders isn't attacking her but as Trump starts to focus on the GE it's shaping up like an interesting contest.

'refuses to condemn the KKK'
'refuses to condemn the KKK'
'refused to condemn the KKK'

if I keep repeating it, it will become true right?

Start? The GOP field have been attacking her for months, barely mentioning Sander's name even in passing. At least Cruz is already running attack ads against Clinton.

I'm sure that guy on CNN Was a complete moron (I didn't hear him on TV), but historically, the Democratic party was the party of the KKK, the Confederacy, and slavery.

The history bares no resemblance to today where Republicans are generally more likely to have xenophobic, racist feelings, but, historically that's true.
I'm aware and that was the point he was making but he was trying to use that historical fact to talk about the current situation of the KKK and the Trump endorsement debacle.

This is where I think we will disagree. Cruz to me is just way too crazy for me, I honestly think he is worse than Trump is almost every way possible. Also I am not saying Trump isn't insane, just less insane than the most insane person running for the GOP currently.
