Uncharted 4 delayed two weeks to May 10

c4jt321.png

It's actually good news for me. School ends the week before so instead of having to wait until after finals or trying to sneak in some play time, I'll be able to play as much as I want, provided I'm not at work.

So that's why Remedy visited ND; they were there to beg for some space so their game isn't entirely overshadowed by Uncharted 4! Probably bought them all lunch and gave out free copies as a bribe. Coincidence? You decide!

It's been (almost) 3 years since ND announced the damn game. How incompetent do you have to be to not have planned the manufacturing of your game accordingly?

Insane.

Quantum Break was also announced around that time. More games should go the Fallout route. GTA V was announced 2 years before launch and it was torture.

Well, it isn't a recurring issue with their games. So maybe just more demand than they anticipated? Who knows.

Well yeah, but they delayed the game not too long ago before this delay. They could've seen this since then.

Definitely. Bloodborne and Fallout 4 should be the standard, not the exception, when it comes to release dates.

*Come May 9th*

Sony: Sorry, we're going to delay this till late June.

*Come Mid June*

Sony: Sorry again, we're going to delay this till Fall: September

*Come September*

Sony: Sorry, I meant Spring of 2017.....

Sony: Uncharted what? no idea what that is, but here's The Last Guardian!

ha. The excuses for these things are always full of shit. Considering what a momentum maker May has been these past 2 years (Batman, Watch_dogs) Im sure the real reason is May is a better date to carry momentum for the summer months.

Especially with DS3 in april, Sony doesnt need a big title launching then.

Not bothered either way tbh though.

edit: Oh I forgot batman got pushed into june.

Uncharted 2 came out in May, Uncharted 3 came out in November

Uncharted 4 comes out in May.

So 4 is greater than 2. Damn this game is going to be fucking Amazing!

April 27th 2016:

As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track to ship out later this week. In an effort to meet the considerable forum demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one at 1440P, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by one more month in order to downgrade some of the game in order to increase the resolution.

Therefore, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has a new worldwide release date of May 27th, 2016.

We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal — we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure in glorious 1440P. This move will surely allow you, our most loyal ND fans to win internet arguments because now your favorite Playstation title natively runs at unprecedented resolutions.

We thank you for your continued support for PlayStation.

New Release Date for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

(Fast forward to May 18th)

May 18th, 2016

As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track for release soon. In an effort to meet the considerable demand of patient fans and curious gamers, and to ensure that all everyone worldwide have the opportunity to play the game earlier, we have chosen to release the game VERY soon under one caveat:

We saw the way Street Fighter V released earlier this year and we sought to take some cues from them:

We are proud to announce that the game's graphics have been downgraded to a variable 900P/60fps for the campaign! With this move, it made it easier to just outright cut out several chunks of the game and throw in some QTE scenes to make up for it. We'll deliver more story content over the next coming months. Look here *Link to PDF file with month by month breakdown of new content* to see what's in store.

Therefore, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has a new worldwide release date of RIGHT NOW!!

Yes, I'm sitting next to grace chen right now and she just hit the button. UNCHRTED 4 IS OUT!!!! Please Understand. We'll deliver more of our amazing campaign later this fall so you can get a taste now. The portion that's out today are the two demos from E3 downgraded of course.

Enjoy!!

We thank you for your continued support for PlayStation.

The game gets delayed 2 weeks and people are worried about "the game" 2 weeks will do NOTHING for the "the game" so when they say it production for manufacturing then that's all it is. You can't do anything for a game in 2 weeks

hahahahahahahahah fucking kek

remember when this was teased at the ps4 launch? iirc didnt they just end up rebooting the whole game and give it to the last of us guys?

Delays happen. It is just the norm with software. What i find interesting is that the announcement came from playstation ceo and not naughty dog pr. I would expect sony or naughty dog community manager/public realtions to have made this announcement.

I found that odd too
