anyone else think this scene might be in Pete and Aunt May's home?

That would be very interesting. You think both of them pay Peter a visit to try to get him on their sides, but Iron Man wins out eventually? Or they discover him when they're still together and go visit him together?

Jury is still out on Spidey. Way too little screen time to make much of this new version. I found the voice to be fine from the split second we heard it.

I think it's more like a neutral ground meeting place and peace talks fall apart

Huh.

I'd appreciate the Spiderman appearance more if he didn't look so crappy. I feel like the old Tobey Maguire movies looked a lot better than that. Maybe it's just because I haven't seen them in a long time. Still... damp squib.

I'm gonna need to see more of the suit but so far, I think ASM2's costume looks better than this one. I think the eyes and and the arrows on the shoulder's side are the reasons why I dont like it, as of now.

For me, the ASM2 costume wins here. If you took that material, toned down the texture and then applied the MCU design it would be awesome.

I just love those big ASM2 eyes also.

I think it's JUST the eyes that people love from ASM2.

The more I look at comparisons, it's basically them going back to the Raimi design with a cloth instead of a rubber texture and big eyes. The texture is distracting, the raised web still doesn't really look good, and the spider logos still carry those overly long legs, that make the back design look too empty and the front design too noisy with all the lines and textures.

I don't know if I'm calling this one the best since we've hardly seen it in motion, but it gets a lot of points from me for just how many small details it gets right that every film before couldn't.

I'm really quite curious to see how much of the movie Spidey is in. By the time it comes out, we'll have seen these 10 seconds of him in the trailer... That's only slightly more than Vision before Ultron, and less than Hulkbuster. Is he introduced late in the movie, has one big sequence, and is largely in the background after that? Or does he play a larger part than that?

Wow CGI Spidey looks BAD.....

Voice is also WAAAYYY too 10 year old sounding... I mean I know Spider-Man is young in this, but is he supposed to be 8?

ASM2 suit looked more like Mark Bagley art come to life than McFarlane.
The fleeting glimpse we got of the MCU Spidey looks more like Romita Sr. art come to life.

Both have their merits.

I hope spiderman stays with iron man. Team cap has twice the number after you include black widow. How is that fair?

Iron man
Black panther
Vision
War machine

Captain america
Scarlet witch
Agent 13
falcon
Winter soldier
Ant man
Hawkeye

Nah that ain't the neutral ground.

The neutral ground will be like my fantasy.

Team iron man and team cap are fighting, they're about to kill each other. A local shawarma vendor sheds a tear at the carnage and runs at the middle as the two opposing power beams of the two sides clash.

Iron man and cap yell for their respective sides to stop. There in the rubble lies the shawarma vendor. The two of them run to him, remove their helmets and fall on their knees with tears forming next to him.

The shawarma vendor weakly smiles at them and says
"I saw chickens shawarmas sell to the mighty avengers in the aftermath of the attack on new York. I sold beef shawarmas in the towers of stark, glittering with spices. And I saw two opposite personalities become friends as they shared tabbouleh. All of these moments will be lost. Like pita chips in the hummus. Time..... To die"

The movie ends with the two former friends hugging and crying into each other's shoulders.

Never forget.

Because Stark has Vision and Black Panther on his side.

I watched this at work so I couldn't really watch it as intensely as I would've liked it.

Just tot home and watched it. Dear god....

The Hawkeye/Ant-Man combo...Spidey...

Fuck me man. Fuck me big time. Fuck me raw.

You know I've been thinking. For real. Between Batman v Superman and Captain America: Civil War, we have two huge blockbusters about iconic people in tights and costumes pretending to be larger than life figures while essentially fake-kicking and fake-punching each other. Fans cheer on and pick teams. And it is likely in both films it will turn out that there's a bad bad person in a business suit manipulating it all to get them to fight.

How are superhero movies any different from WWE at this point? Have we been suckered? Is this the final form of cinema? Glorified wrestling with 200 million dollar budgets?!

Unbelievable that posters here are ripping on how Holland utters two fricken words.

You're describing the comic book industry of the last 40 years, duckroll.

Pfft. You cray cray. He looks great. Watch the hi res trailer?. :)

Gave a little fist pump when I saw Ant-Man ride the arrow.

Nodded and smiled at the "I can do this all day" callback. That's Cap.

Floored by the resemblance to Romita Sr. Spidey. Amazing.

there is evidence that you are correct. F4 fans can hold out hope, then. I'd much rather see Disney get access to mutants again. Their whole fuckin universe revolves around mutants to a great degree so it continues to be painful to see them make these amazing stories without some of the most prevalent faces in Marvel.

will add to my list!

Most of the crossover stuff between the x-men and avengers hasn't been received well anyway. Infinity War, we would see Wolvie turned to rubber. They had nothing to do with Civil War other than Wolvie hunting the dude down. They had nothing to do with AOU other than Wolvie going back in Time to kill Hank. (Anyone see a pattern here?) AvX was terrible. People are pissed at the state they are currently in due to the Terrigen Mist and the recycling of storyline. Age of Apocalypse somehow had no Avengers not even a mention of how Apocalypse got rid of them.

That's way too many characters. How many minute do you have to allot for the snappy one liners for each dude?

I expect it will be as shitty as AOU.

Gonna have a little faith since Cap 2 has been my favorite MCU movie so far but yeah... AOU size cast does not inspire confidence.

Not sure how I feel about the Spider-man suite. I like the design. The colors just look weird to me. Was that entirely CG? Just clashes really hard with everything else.
