No actually, I'm just looking at the demographics of the country. George W. Bush, the only Republican president elected in this country since 1988, couldn't win a primary in the current Republican party. While he obviously stole his first election he got it close enough to steal by being a moderate "compassionate conservative" Republican. He didn't win states like Ohio by being a xenophobic racist.

Trump's candidacy is mostly based on the fantasy that Obama is president not because the country is moderate but because the Republicans aren't angry and racist enough to galvanize the white majority. If that's what you believe to be the case then yes, Trump will be the next president.

And I'll ask this directly, what's Trump's platform? What is it that he believes in that will appeal to non-racists and get them to the polls?

I guess we're in agreement then. I'm not saying Hillary has something horrible thing that the GOP knows that will destroy her, just that they haven't yet begun to try to smear her name yet. Although if Trump gets the nom. I'm almost certain the Republicans will just focus most of their efforts elsewhere and Trump will do most of the smearing himself.

I'm still a bit surprised (and disappointed) that the video from the other night (when the guy was sucker punched) where the protestors are being escorted out to the chant of "go home niggers" isn't all over the news. I mean, that's it right there. There's no "you're misconstruing what we're doing". It's the outright racism in full view, and with no possible defense.

Republicans have been close to winning presidential elections the last two times with angry racists before. They still have those votes, now add those he's riled up with immigration and xenophobia, fear of terrorists and if Hillary wins fear of a woman president. People are underestimating exactly how many shitty people are in the US. I've said it before and will say it again, you can be upset at these people saying these racist, sexist, awful things but what should be more upsetting is the amount of people getting behind them. Trump wins the easily swayed middle class vote with his 'says whats on his mind" bullshit, wins latino vote, wins fedora wearing gamergate votes, its entirely possible. Hey, whatever though, liberals can keep on underestimating him. When he wins I will just laugh and cry at the same time.

I can't say I'm surprised at the lack of coverage considering, America, for the past couple hundred years or so.

The machine is polished. People at work had some story about how it was a BLM protestor that started a fight, so, you know.. deserved it. No mention of the go home niggers tho. Of course. People are sold their story via Facebook and that's about where it ends.

They have a right to vote for whomever they want - but this is not what is being discussed at Trump rallies. The people going there and Trump are complicit in supporting hate speech and a call to violence - Trump and his supporters need to be called out on their bs. If they can't handle standing up and saying "he says racist things, he wants to commit war crimes, he divides people on their faith, origin and race, he attacks his opponents in a childish manner, he has no actual policies that are different than what Republicans have been pushing for decades but god damn it, he is the one i will vote for because this are the values I also have.". Being complicit in this vile sh*t deserves to be shunned

North Carolina

Obama 49.7 McCain 49.4

Romney 50.6 Obama 48.4

Indiana

Obama 50 McCain 48.9

Romney 54.3 Obama 43.8

Florida

Obama 50 Romney 49

Ohio

Obama 51 Romney 48

in percentages, and some of those are swing states. States that swing red during non-presidential election years. And the Latino vote can absolutely happen and has before, religion is a huge part to that vote.

Obama could have lost any of those states and still won both elections. Unlike Bush he didn't win either by single digit electoral votes.
