Considering Civil War is practically an Avengers movie in terms of the hero line-up, do you think its WW gross will be up there with the Avengers movies and Iron Man 3?

Could it beat those movies due to the inclusion of Spiderman?

I bet it will at least hit 1billion world wide, and even out perform BvS

I think it'll replace Iron Man 3's position.

Calling it now, MCU will help Sony produce the first billion dollar solo Spider-Man movie.

Although, I think the Raimi movies made that much after inflation.

Anyway. You guys are vigilant as hell and have probably already noticed this, but could this be Cap in Peter's house? I know Pete is broke for a certain period of time, but this place looks run the fuck down.

anecdotally coworkers of mine saw different movies this weekend and all had the new trailer w/ spider-man in it attached. people will definitely know spidey is in this movie now

ok I was stupid and thought the quote meant 10 billion for one movie

Because that would be ridiculous

It could happen! What if something destroys movie distribution on May 10th and Civil War is the ONLY movie to come out all summer? And for the rest of the year? And, ummm...everyone loves it and goes 10 times each, and ticket prices triple, and...umm...

I CAN DREAM, DAMNIT!

I asked the same question, there's another shot of a similar looking room with SWAT guys with guns coming in, so its most likely a Bucky hideout

To the average movie goer this is as much an Iron Man film as it is a Cap film and IM3 did well over $1B.

I think it could hit $1B too but only if it gets great word of mouth. Even if it is basically Avengers 3, it doesn't say that in the title and I know some have a bad taste left over from Age of Ultron.

I know they've said they want to be more realistic about the type of place Peter would be able to afford and live in in NYC (or did I imagine that?), but this looks too run down, with newspapers covering the windows/doors and all that. Looks like a place someone is trying to hideout in. Trying to figure out why Aunt May/Peter would be in that situation and it doesn't add up.

My bad I miss read the post. I thought he meant Civil War would make 10B alone.

It definitely could hit the 1 billion mark due to good word of mouth and the inclusion of Spidey.

I don't think it will beat iron man 3 either. It will likely hit a billion tho but it doesn't have that Chinese audience exclusive scenes like iron man had and also this is more a cap movie than his

Plus it came off of a stronger avengers movie

What if I told you that in the Chinese cut, I'M SPIDER-MAN
