I have a Facebook and Twitter I'm logged into but don't actually use. I purposely don't have friends, nor pictures or really any information (except a few likes I put up when I first joined).

Well yea, like if I go to the US store and try getting a game for my overseas phone, it will often say not compatible, but if I go to the proper region store, with the game for my region, it will work. As far as I know only Japanese version is out so...

I kind of agree, until I consider the fact that they may want to test it first on Japan before launching worldwide. Its their first mobile release, so a bit of precaution is fine.

Installed the .apk, then I created a Nintendo account with Japan as the location and linked it. Too paranoid to link my main one. Game runs fine, a bit too much loading maybe.

Not much to do without friends though. Sucks that you need facebook or twitter to add friends. Will have to set a separate one for this game.

I read something online about how "purchasing" a free app lets you bypass that. You should be able to find instructions through Google. =]
