I like Man of Steel and especially Watchmen more than many people in this thread it seems. In fact, for whatever reason I'll never be able to explain I fucking LOVED MoS. I wonder if BvS dissapoint me too?

it's a corny movie outside of the mcavoy/fassbender parts. those xbrats can go kick rocks too. singer did great in killing a majority of them off.

In what way?

In that AoU is a mess of a movie, not horrible but a bad one.

I liked Watchman, hated MoS, I'm on the same boat because I want this movie to do good. I want my Flash movie.

If the movie is this bad I hope it does not do well in the box office. Hope it tanks.
Let WB/DC keep doing TV where at least they are OK. Don't really care to see Affleck's Batman.

At least we get a Wonder Woman movie, but who knows how good that will be.

He's on record saying WB actually was READY to make it a 3 hours movie, but he pressured HARD to shorten it as much as possible. That's what I'm salty against him, this is his fault.

If WB is pushing for a 3 hour movie and the director is fighting against that, that tells me that they wanted to fill it with more; they are the ones pressuring him with all the characters and storylines. And if that is the case, how can you blame Snyder for wanting a shorter, more coherent film in those circumstances?

If it was the director's vision to fill the movie to the brim with plot threads, characters, and world building, why tf would he be arguing to shorten the film? That makes no sense to me.

Strange that there are still only 44 reviews on RT...what's the hold up? Usually huge blockbusters get 200+ reviews. Did it not screen for all critics already?

Iron Man 3 is better than Iron Man 1.

What if those scenes were really needed though. Sometimes a long story is a long story, like TLOTR or even Kingdom of Heaven.

That's true in a way. They are trying to hold on to Nolan's gritty lightning in the bottle for too long without focusing on why it worked.

It's all consistent with Snyder's previous filmography though, not like he was just apeing on Nolan's bat films. Other than both being "dark" I don't actually see much of an overlap between MoS and Nolan's body of work. Not seeing this until Friday though.

Good lord they really don't have any idea what they are doing.

almost every comic book movie writer, even the marvel ones that you may be a fan of, has written a lot of basura.

that's a scary ass director choice though. i don't have hope for these dc films outside of suicide squad and batman.
