Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

Man the game I'm loving it so far, Didn't made it that Far just about a moment where
A Dragon comes flying and burns everything up

I started as a Pyromancer, wasnt sure about the class, but I'm shooting for Dex/Int build, just want to check how good the uchigatana is in the game.

In the third area, how do I get the elevator to go up? (or get there by other means)
to stop the spear throwing dude

oh man i just saw someone wearing
black knight
armor

presumably from farming that one knight that i've come across so far

which is what i'm going to do now

How are the areas in variety of color so far? I loved Bloodborne, but that game could get depressing sometimes. It was black on black on black. I want some sun in my Dark Souls 3 lol

so far this faith build is being useless, haven't found a single weapon scaling with the stat and I still have to find a single decent offensive miracle. killed 4 bosses and I'm still using the same shitty dark(?) axe I got from a mimic.

yeah lets pretend "the second half of Dark Souls is kinda weak" is some weird opinion nobody has ever said for years, right
ah, so now it's ''weak'' and not ''wack'', sure. and no, it's really not. ''I saw a thread on reddit complaining about it - dude must be legit'' how to form an opinion amirite
second half has one of the best locations of the game in it, if anything. Lost Izalith alone doesn't make the whole thing bad, weak or whatever.

I found a faith based long sword in the first area. It's right before where the big guy is circling the fountain with all the dead knights lying around. I had to fall down a hole to get it.

I've played the PS4 import all day yesterday. So mad that I had to work today, should've just called in sick.

I haven't been able to get online though. I am using my US account that has PS+, but it just never seems to log in to the server. Am I doing something wrong? Either way, I am still enjoying it.

Any way for me to summon help for A

- I'm not embered. I have been fighting this for 4 hours and I'm ready to just give up.

I already found the Crest Shield + stamina ring, they make quite the difference with that stamina regen.
I probably won't take them off for a very long time.

You are not alone in this feeling, is definetly harder.

It's a shame. I was really hoping DS3 would take some inspiration from Bloodborne and make no shield runs easier/more fun.

I'm currently trying to get summoned in front of the A

Foggate, but only got summoned once by a host who died 1 Minute into the fight. Is SL 49 too high for that boss?

?

They are avaliable from the start, some weapons needs to be on 2 handed mode, that's all.

You press R2 to activate it.

Ahh ok. I started as a merc with the dual swords and recently picked up a broadsword and a new shield. R2 with the starting dual wield looked like it was just a strong attack to me. Unless that's just the art for that weapon?

In my case I welcome the challenge, DS2 was to easy outside of gank enemy squads.

Yes, thats the weapon art of the scimitar

Anyone tried out the katanas? What are the weapons arts like, any stand out ones?

Only one, the weapon art is
quick draw stance, R1 makes a for a quick draw attack and R2 is a parry move

Is fun, but takes awhile to adapt, is both similar but yet different enough from DS2 katanas.

I agree, I've been doing a no vigor/no shield run for my first playthrough and it's been pretty rough at times. Enemies are very aggressive and most moves have a ton of tracking making dealing with mobs pretty tricky.

Fun challenge!

Thanks. Sorry all I'm posting silly questions. I kind of got this installed and wasn't paying attention as I was playing it as I was just so excited to get into souls again.

I love the weapon arts to the
farrons
greatsword but I think you can't equip a shield when using that weapon, so I guess I'll craft the
artorias
sword instead, hope it has similarly great weapon arts :(

Been playing English version on Xbone. Awesome so far!

Just killed Curse-Rotted Greatwood. I know there's a pyromancer NPC somewhere in the undead settlement, but I feel like I've looked everywhere and didn't find him.

Also, I hate how many shards it takes to upgrade weapons. I sure hope there's a merchant that lets me buy them some time soon.

Silver serpent ring is somewhere in the bell tower that you have to buy a key to unlock at Firelink, right?

Oh, and also I missed the sunlight coventant :/

Only the first one you get early. I'm 6 bosses in and haven't found another yet, although I'm guessing I've missed a couple somewhere. I'm currently running around with it in 2handed weapon art mode 95% of the time and it seems to be working out okay so far, although I'm probably making the game harder on myself by playing it like this.

You can see the weapon arts for it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXqyZ5YpdIA

for those asking if Luck builds could be a thing, I'd say yes.
Hollow gem description,
Hollow weapons are said to peer into the essence of its wielder, whose luck boosts attack.
