Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

PSA there's an equip load lowering ring that you can get
for a boss soul from the boss soul trading guy at firelink. not sure which soul it was.

yup,
havel's ring, it's a boss soul from a non-named mini boss at the highest point of the building where watchdogs of farron covenant is

Does anyone know if NG+ is automatic? I think I'm getting close, all Lords down.

you get an option to go into NG+ after the credits or continue and do it via bonfire apparently

it'd be nice if we get that translated for reference so ppl don't accidentally jump into NG+ when they don't want to

ok where do i need to go ?

i killed

abbys watchers, aldreic or whatever the name is,and yhorm

where do i go now ?

In the exact same position, I never look for tips or anything but im completely stumped for the first time, if anyone knows please tell us.

Edit: NM found it!

hard to explain exactly where but he's basically right before the
Crystal Sage
boss, the path to get to him is a bit hidden.
.

Thank you, and to answer your question regarding firelink shrine:
The door behind the Uchigatana guy is not the right one, immediately when you enter firelink shrine turn to your right, there are stairs leading upstairs, follow the stairs to the 1st floor, head outside and you will see the door.

Really trying to not read spoilers so Im being careful.

Whats the general impression? Good? God tier? Step down from Bloodborne? Step up?

It's impossible to give a reasonable opinion without at least 3 playthroughs

I mean alot of people including me were like: omg DS2 is much better game than DS1 when we first played it and after a while........ you know the rest

so far I think it's even with Bloodborne like something are better in BB and others are better in DS3.

i'm so stuck :( where do i need to go to find
dragonslayer armor and that dancer boss that was in the beta

try going to lothric castle where that priestess was? where the dancer was in the beta

there was a ladder there, maybe it's lowered now, idk, purely guessing btw

Dark Souls 2 is better than 1 though. =)

what's a
vertebrae
and what does the icon look like? wonder if I have it

Icon is just a loop of bone :p One of the wikis has the image for it on the item page (the items name in English is
Vertebra Shackle
)

You'll have one if you killed (early game)
the purple invader in Undead Settlement

how do you trade with the crow? just like before? leave an item on the ground in the nest and relog?

I'm so happy they fixed the Claymore's design <3

3 playrhroughs? Are you kidding?

Seeing a lot of consistent drab lighting / coloration out of these streams.

Really pulling for a decent pallet change.

3 playrhroughs? Are you kidding?

3 playthroughs to explore build variety and viability, something Bloodborne lacked but wasn't apparent after the first playthrough. Also the second playthrough to explore the subsystems / sidequests (or lack thereof in Bloodborne's case once again).

Near Firelink entrance, there's a path to the left that leads to the ninja that holds it, I hope you leveled a few levels or you gonna suffer

He is very weak to charged thrust attacks. I happened to have a Long Sword as my class weapon so it was really easy. Poke poke poke *dead*

Yep, picked that up last night. Was wandering around and encountered that guy. I was like, damn who else is in this game.

go back to where she was in the beta / network test and kill the person and then goto the statue. I believe that does it.

I'm avoiding spoilers but has anyone finished the game yet?...approximately how long is it?...longer then DS2?...longer then Bloodborne?

pro tip.. something I just realized

when you have the warcry art buff up from an axe weapon (like the battle axe or great axe), the moveset changes. in particular, the hold R2 changes.

Hello gaf. Had to purchase this through the japan xb1 when it coincided with a four day weekend. I've managed to stay 100% spoiler free so far, but as I don't get much time to game nowdays could someone more enlightened answer me one question?

Is there a npc in this that murders the rest?

I've been watching this guy stream his Sorcerer run and magic in this game seems to be really underpowered, at least early on.

This upsets me as I was planning on going magic only.

3 playrhroughs? Are you kidding?

3 is a random number I put. I meant one need to play the game for a while to game a good/reasonable opinion on a big game like this

sure one can give a quick opinion after a rushed 20 hours, but I wouldn't really take such an opinion seriously, because hype can affect people's early opinions most of the times

I'm LOVING the game right now, but still can't really compare it to the other games just yet.

are you taking your time and exploring or rushing through?

areas in this game are HUGE. only forest in BB can be compared to this game's areas imo.

I've been using one of the boss weapons and the upgrade materials are scarce for those so I switched to the
black knight sword
and upgraded it to +3 I feel pretty OP now

i'm sure some enemy will correct me imminently though

just beat the
deacons
with an NPC summon and 1 estus lol

i'm actually kinda happy they were so pathetic because i didn't like trekking through that area to get back there

just realized why I wasn't playing online was because I was selecting "disagree" at the prompt at the title screen when connecting to the server. Thanks Google Translate!

Hmmm... Am I just really good or do the bosses generally not have enough HP? I haven't died on a single boss yet and there haven't been any encounters where I felt like it's really challenging me. Most of these bosses go down way quick - I'm using the Uchigatana and upgraded it over time to +3 and infused it with a Fire Ember. I feel very OP.

just get gud
at anticipating the cheap ass hand grab, other than that it's pretty easy once you get used to it. took me like 5 tries :o

Had 3 attempts so far. I have a plan now. I think I'm just rushing in at the wrong time and targeting the wrong areas in a panic.

nope, most seem very easy

people say they get pretty tough late on

so far the one that gave me the most issues by far was the 1st real boss

mostly due to camera issues but still, that's kinda worrying

Just go Pyromancer then. It's typically been more damaging than Sorcery, at the cost of range; but it still reaches farther than most weapons.

Huh? Forbidden Woods wasn't particularly huge, it just had a lot of vertical sections that could be skipped entirely.

???? what? I hate replaying games so I do not understand this logic.

Thanks for watching everyone, time to sleep like a casuuuuul.

Good night, see you all tomorrow :)

That feeling when you're out of estus flasks and healing miracles and low on health with no idea where the next bonfire is then turn a corner and find one.

Can someone who's played talk about weight and things?

Trying to avoid spoilers so no watching streams, etc.

Did they go the bloodborne route with regards to weight affecting speed or does the game still have armor/heavy weapons affecting how you move and the difference between quick-rolls vs "fat rolls" , etc?

Why is this Broad sword so strong? It's so ugly, but I lose so much damage when I switch from a different sword.
