Best way they can do that is have it be a prequel.Loved Ben in this movie. There are problems I have with the Batman character, but if they're swept under the rug in say, a solo Batman movie? Best Batman ever.
All the reviews pretty much go: "everything sucks, except Ben Affleck."
Pretty sure the guy is on cloud nine. These days, even when a movie he's in gets completely destroyed, he still wins.
He said he both fucking Loves and Hates this film.
Honestly I think a good editor could make this a 9, particularly if the editor subbed in some of the deleted stuff.
What infuriated me about the dude saying Age of Ultron was better was that there was literally nothing worthwhile about that film, not even a solid core you could discover with enough editing. AoU exists solely to check some boxes. Making AoU good would require changing almost everything about the film.
BvS could be hugely improved by one dude with a day in Final Cut.
Honestly contemplating about not going today to watch this. This was supposed to be freakin' good!
Hard to believe MCU doesn't have a single movie that's rated rotten on RT. Meanwhile, DCCU is 2 for 2, and starting to film their Avengers-style movie with the person responsible for both.
Honestly I think a good editor could make this a 9, particularly if the editor subbed in some of the deleted stuff.

With some exceptions, they're like Rihanna albums. Safe, algorithm-driven, relatively devoid of ambition, and safe.
Have fun with Civil WarRe-watching The Incredible Hulk right now (RT 67%) - Chase sequence is legit great. So sad Tim Roth and William Hurt never re-appeared in the MCU.
Or something happens at the start of Justice LeagueBest way they can do that is have it be a prequel.
I was more saying that he could justOr something happens at the start of Justice Leaguelike Batman straight up murdering a big bad(maybe Lex even), and we get a scene of Flash going back to Batman's early days and warning Bruce about becoming a psycho killer.
Flash returns to the future, and Batman now has a dark blue cape/cowl for Justice League to represent the change in time.
So I see a few reviewers mocking the whole "if there's even a 1% chance he is our enemy, we have to treat it as an absolute certainty" with stuff like "why Bruce Wayne no do math?" It's actually kind of irritating.
The line is actually pretty great. It all comes back to expected value. If you can play a slot machine that 99% of the time will pay out $10, but 1% of the time will cause you to owe a billion dollars, would you ever touch that machine? Of course not. That's the whole idea here. A 1% chance of world devastation = something you throw all your resources into stopping.
If reviewers can't handle such a basic Econ 101 concept, how can they be trusted to handle anything else?
I was more saying that he could juststop killing. Make it because of Superman's sacrifice snapping him back to his old ways if you need a plot reason.

I like your style. There is a stupidly easy way to make his solo movie a perfect redemption piece.
Introduce Tim.
At 30% now with 201 reviews.
Will this be the final score?
Gets a lot of hate but think it's a good film.Re-watching The Incredible Hulk right now (RT 67%) - Chase sequence is legit great. So sad Tim Roth and William Hurt never re-appeared in the MCU.
This is true,I was more saying that he could juststop killing. Make it because of Superman's sacrifice snapping him back to his old ways if you need a plot reason.
Yah, but its like winning a battle yet losing the war kind of thing. He did well but on the larger scale it did little with the overall result.
Sucks especially seeing how Ryan Reynolds who has kind of a similar career pattern with him, managed to create a major hit of his own just very recently.
Lol. I agree with you. In fact I can't wait for the bluray to come out so I can make my own cut. I have a vision on how it can be like.Honestly I think a good editor could make this a 9, particularly if the editor subbed in some of the deleted stuff.

Pretty sure Affleck already won with his critically acclaimed directing career. He has free reign to do whatever he wants in Hollywood now.

No shit. This dude made it thru Reindeer Games, Gigli and Daredevil. They're about to start calling him Teflon BenHe's been in a lot of shitty movies. I'm sure the first movie he directs that's a disappointment with hit him MUCH harder

I was never so curios how the boxoffice numbers are going to be.

I think they'll show that reviews don't matter. It's Bats vs Supes, people will flock to this.
And to be honest, most people are saying Affleck is one of the main pluspoints in this film, which makes me still want to see it actually. I love Batman, I like Affleck and I like Snyder action, so I have that to look forward to.
what a mess. He gave it 5/10 6/10 and 7/10. More like Undecided Joe.
Literally every scene with Batman/Bruce Wayne is near perfection(opinion of brutality aside).
Worth seeing for that alone.
No way I'll pay theatre tickets for this I'll just watch it at home like I did superman while cleaning house.
I think most people will do that and this thing will fall off quick
Very few films require three and a half hours to be comprehensible. If your comic movie needs it then you fucked up.I think that R-rated home video version has a lot of story that they needed cut so it wasn't a 3.5 hour movie in theatres
I hope it hit's WB's expectations.
Watching this Saturday. I love John Carter and Prometheus.
