It's like they just keep digging and digging a huge financial hole that this game can't possibly fill. That's not even including the decade of development hell.

Squaresoft and Square-Enix have been such a huge part of my life dating back to the mid 90s. I really hope they know what they're doing.

So I just rewatched the trailer (first one), and I'm pretty sure that's not Sean Bean voicing the king. I'm assuming the same of the other characters. Different voice actors for the movie and the game.

That would be... pretty disappointing.

Could be a long-term investment. The Final Fantasy brand and SE in general has acquired some hefty negative connotations over the last decade; if this brings them back into good graces, might be worth the cost even if the game itself doesn't totally cover it.
