everything about this game seems terrible to me but i'll check it out firsthand

my feelings exactly, and I am someone who has really loved every mainline Final Fantasy including X-2 and XIII-2&3 and both MMOs

But I am a rational enough Final Fantasy fan not to have enjoyed Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Dissidia, or Crisis Core. Nor can I stomach Kingdom Hearts.
