I'm skeptical, too. But it is scheduled for November and in all likelihood Wonder Woman will be moved to an open date. If you simply push every film up one spot, WW in November 2017, JL in March 2018, Flash July 2018, so on. I doubt it, but who knows.
Also the lowest grossing.
David Yates sort of demonstrates that having a top tier director on board for a megafranchise like Potter or the DCEU stuff isn't really necessary from a financial perspective. They just need to be competent (if unremarkable).
WB needs someone with a more coherent vision to helm their shared universe more than they need better directors.

I don't see why not? He's been more than fine with 30 minute animated cartoons and feature length animated films.
Wonder Woman is a movie with much reputition behind, the cant move that one without gettint in the next shit storm.
Very curious what will happen.
But isnt working with real actors much more difficult? I have zero experience when it comes to this, but I would guess.

It's not coming soon enough. The Incredibles is pretty much my favorite Pixar movie along with Up. I still need to see Wall-E though.

Nameless faceless directors who take stories right out of the comics and don't have their own vision. Shove them in a factory and start pumping out DCEU films.

He's got no classic movie to remake, he's as visually skilled as Snyder, and he'd nail the tone.

No DC/Marvel superhero film to date has "taken stories right out of the comics" or even come close, so I dunno what you're on about there.
Tbh so long as he was kept on a reasonably tight leash I'd be fascinated to see him do a 'mainstream' superhero film in light of Unbreakable.

If I was WB i'd give some of the animated movie directors a shot because they know exactly what they are doing with years of experience with these characters.

David Yates fucked up the finale battle in Harry Potter. Everyone should have witnessed that shit, but no. I hate him for that. Also Half-Blood Prince was pretty bad. Whyyy

Not gonna lie, nostalgia is a pretty big factor here soo: loved the first three. Azkaban didn't have that magic to it the Chris Columbus films had though. After that...I only liked Deathly Hallows part 1 (I know, I'm weird. sue me).

Aye, I loved the film dearly. And as someone else mentioned, the way it approaches its themes it so much more intelligent than the overall clumsiness that is BvS.
The press conference scene remains one of the most amazing things I've seen in years. And probably the most jaw-dropping ever in a Disney film, just for going where it went. The film is brave in ways BvS wouldn't ever consider, with their respective subject matter.
