I dont think that JL will be delayed tbh

I'm skeptical, too. But it is scheduled for November and in all likelihood Wonder Woman will be moved to an open date. If you simply push every film up one spot, WW in November 2017, JL in March 2018, Flash July 2018, so on. I doubt it, but who knows.

Aight

It really was my favorite

Also the lowest grossing.

David Yates sort of demonstrates that having a top tier director on board for a megafranchise like Potter or the DCEU stuff isn't really necessary from a financial perspective. They just need to be competent (if unremarkable).

WB needs someone with a more coherent vision to helm their shared universe more than they need better directors.

This is true. I'm not big on Yates at all, but he got HP to the finish line just fine.

But now he's on Fantastic Beasts so he can't save DC

Wonder Woman is a movie with much reputition behind, the cant move that one without gettint in the next shit storm.
Very curious what will happen.

I don't see why not? He's been more than fine with 30 minute animated cartoons and feature length animated films.
But isnt working with real actors much more difficult? I have zero experience when it comes to this, but I would guess.

If we're talking hypothetical directors here...

Brad Bird.

His "Iron Giant' movie is still the best Superman movie I've seen in twenty years.

Nameless faceless directors who take stories right out of the comics and don't have their own vision. Shove them in a factory and start pumping out DCEU films.

Build the factory right next to the Yates Factory of Magic.

After watching that interview with Snyder about the Ultimate Edition of the movie, I think we should all wait and see how that cut turns out before we call for Snyder's removal.

So I'm quietly projecting ahead to the date that really matters - when BvS drops below Zootopia. I don't think it happens next week. But it might the week after, during the week.

No DC/Marvel superhero film to date has "taken stories right out of the comics" or even come close, so I dunno what you're on about there.

So, if Snyder does get replaced, who's the ideal candidate to replay him?

Seeing as its an emergency:
Bruce Timm with Dini if it needs touching up
Jay Olivia
Sam Liu
Brandon Vietti
Lauren Montgomery

If I was WB i'd give some of the animated movie directors a shot because they know exactly what they are doing with years of experience with these characters.

You can laugh at them being only animation directors but look at Deadpool.

Y'all talking about David Yates.

I know everyone is excited for Tarzan, I know I am.

David Yates fucked up the finale battle in Harry Potter. Everyone should have witnessed that shit, but no. I hate him for that. Also Half-Blood Prince was pretty bad. Whyyy :(

None of the Harry Potter movies, aside from Azkaban, were all that great, yet I went to every single one at midnight.

Not gonna lie, nostalgia is a pretty big factor here soo: loved the first three. Azkaban didn't have that magic to it the Chris Columbus films had though. After that...I only liked Deathly Hallows part 1 (I know, I'm weird. sue me).

those live action disney films have been doing surprising well

why, i dont know, but they do

Disney ain't doing this one.

This is a WB gritty tale inspired by a Zack Snyder film featuring Eric Northman and N64 rendered gorillas.

It's going to be a mess, but a mess I will enjoy.

The weekend we have crossover, the title should be: Bunny bests Batman vs Superman (or Grindr hookup gone sideways)

How ironic a bunny knows this is a marathon and not a sprint.

I think Ghaleon enjoyed Zootopia very much so indeed :p

Aye, I loved the film dearly. And as someone else mentioned, the way it approaches its themes it so much more intelligent than the overall clumsiness that is BvS.

The press conference scene remains one of the most amazing things I've seen in years. And probably the most jaw-dropping ever in a Disney film, just for going where it went. The film is brave in ways BvS wouldn't ever consider, with their respective subject matter.
