David Yates sort of demonstrates that having a top tier director on board for a megafranchise like Potter or the DCEU stuff isn't really necessary from a financial perspective. They just need to be competent (if unremarkable).
WB needs someone with a more coherent vision to helm their shared universe more than they need better directors.
Are we sure that Bruce Timm can work with 2+ hours live action movies?
Wonder Woman is a movie with much reputition behind, the cant move that one without gettint in the next shit storm.I'm skeptical, too. But it is scheduled for November and in all likelihood Wonder Woman will be moved to an open date. If you simply push every film up one spot, WW in November 2017, JL in March 2018, Flash July 2018, so on. I doubt it, but who knows.
But isnt working with real actors much more difficult? I have zero experience when it comes to this, but I would guess.I don't see why not? He's been more than fine with 30 minute animated cartoons and feature length animated films.
If we're talking hypothetical directors here...
Brad Bird.

His "Iron Giant' movie is still the best Superman movie I've seen in twenty years.

No he belongs in director jail forever for Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland was average, and it doesn't come CLOSE to negating Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

OK, my mistake then - I thought he works mostly for themBrad bird doesn't work for pixar
It's not coming soon enough. The Incredibles is pretty much my favorite Pixar movie along with Up. I still need to see Wall-E though.Nah. We need Brad Bird to make a live action Fantastic Four film. He already made the perfect animated one, and has another coming soon.

So, if Snyder does get replaced, who's the ideal candidate to replay him?
Brad Bird knows how to actually make good films.
So I'm quietly projecting ahead to the date that really matters - when BvS drops below Zootopia. I don't think it happens next week. But it might the week after, during the week.
That'll be the day we mark.
The day the furries beat the nerds
I thought furries were just a more deranged subset of the nerd community? That'll be the day we mark.

If that happens, Catman's joining the JL. Watch out boys, that kitten has claws.!

Oh damn that's scary.meow. - Entertainment Weekly
They're like the Tea Party of nerds!
I guess the big twist would be that all of these movies were just Superman's nightmares.I vote for Night Shyamalan.
The reactions would be glorious.
Nameless faceless directors who take stories right out of the comics and don't have their own vision. Shove them in a factory and start pumping out DCEU films.
Build the factory right next to the Yates Factory of Magic.
I vote for Night Shyamalan.

Strong $20M intl WED for #BatmanvSuperman, tiny 3.5% dip from TUE. $328.2M intl cume, global haul rises to $530M. 62% from intl.
#BatmanvSuperman now at $69.4M in China so far. That's already 56% of #StarWars #TheForceAwakens final in just 6 days!

Y'all talking about David Yates.
I know everyone is excited for Tarzan, I know I am.
None of the Harry Potter movies, aside from Azkaban, were all that great, yet I went to every single one at midnight.David Yates fucked up the finale battle in Harry Potter. Everyone should have witnessed that shit, but no. I hate him for that. Also Half-Blood Prince was pretty bad. Whyyy![]()

those live action disney films have been doing surprising well
why, i dont know, but they do
You mean like in Age of Ultron? With people wanting to go back to what they are already familiar with, you might as well launch the Burtonverse.
Sure, it may mean Johnny Depp as Superman and Helena Bonham Carter as Lois Lane, but at least we can get Danny Elfman making superhero themes again.
The weekend we have crossover, the title should be: Bunny bests Batman vs Superman (or Grindr hookup gone sideways)
How ironic a bunny knows this is a marathon and not a sprint.
I think Ghaleon enjoyed Zootopia very much so indeed![]()
