Didn't the first film basically demonize all the characters that weren't christians and had horrible shit happen to them like getting cancer, getting run over and getting kicked out of their house and shit? I blanked out through most of it when me and my buds watched it on TV for shits and giggles, but those parts really stood out to me. This biased piece of crap did well enough to get a sequel? It's like self-masturbatory material for egotistical christians!

I must be too insulated from that part of America to really understand their fears or concerns on this. To me tolerance is pretty much always a good thing. I will make a small exception for calling dibs on minors, but for otherwise I am all for everyone being allowed to do whatever the fuck they want to do as long as it doesn't hurt someone else.

Watching the Midnight Screening Review now. I can't believe this movie is a thing.
The point of the court case is fucking crazy - as Brad says - if Jesus was a real person, nothing would change, it doesnt matter. Christianity is not about the historical person. It's what happened after he died. That's the whole point.

Don't they know their own religion?

I was already planning on seeing it eventually, regardless of if Lionel Mandrake reviews it or not. This just makes me want to see it even sooner. What the fuck
 
My atheist girlfriend and I will be seeing this at 7 tonight. The thought of laughing out loud at this movie in a theater full of Christians in this very conservative city is too delicious to not follow through.
