Team homoerotic amateurs vs. jock bikers - 4/5
Balding Shredder vs Discount store stone cold - 2/5
Japanese Shawn Michaels vs Canadian Shawn Michaels - 5/5
Joan Cena vs Benihana Lesnar - 4/5
Akuma vs E. Honda - 3/5

Bonus: Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Nash - April Fools/5
Crowd - 5/5 (Best Takeover crowd)

Overall - 3.5/5

The amazing crowd and no obvious piss breaks made this one of the, if not the best takeovers yet, despite the dusty finishes.

Mania's so done.

I just remembered that Sami Zayn still has to compete in the ladder match on Sunday.

.......good lord, he is going to be sore.

Remember the ladder match last year?* He'll probably have like 3 minutes total of actual work to do.

*
no one does

If you don't know what a meta crowd is then don't lecture me about a show you don't seem to understand

Alight, I'll just keep on being an idiot and enjoying what I spent two hours watching tonight. After all it's not like meta (when unexplained) is a term reserves for conceited, supercilious killjoys.

Nakamura's entrance was perfect. I've never seen anything of the guy's NJPW career outside of gifs, but by the time he was halfway down the ramp and the spotlight hit him I already understood what makes him so special.

Then that fucking match, Jesus Christ.

YES. This is a pairing I've been hoping to see. Strong style owning this league soon.

Now bring in Kota Ibushi to feud Nakamura as a rival who followed him overseas to settle a feud and all my New Japan dreams for this fed will be upon us. Its already the best of NJPW and ROH. Rebook the feuds and let them turn it loose. So glad they pushed who Nakamura was and didn't make him start over as the WWE tends to do.

The Asuka-Bayley finish is a great setup for a rematch, strongn enough for a proper main event, I think.

For this they played the whole "yeah Asuka is good but Bayley aint gonna lose!" Angle which works really well with the finish cause it came as a shock, gives them a lot of room to work with for a rematch.

There wasn't one dusty finish in any of the matches. Everyone who won, won clean and nothing was overturned.

The real power couple

It depends on what you want, I think the brock/dean match can be great and the womens triple threat can be good as well. Taker/shane might be fun to watch and AJ jericho could possibly be good for mania. I guess if you're looking for a technical marvel from every match I guess you will be disappointed. Mania in general has only always had like 3 good to great matches. Can't remember one that was more good than bad.

For sure. Brock/Dean and Shane/Taker should be a whole lot of fun, I think AJ and Jericho is the match that could match the wrestling we seen tonight though.

I'm cautious about the women's title match just because it's a triple threat which could be a clusterfuck and god know's how long they'll actually get to do their thing, the fact they're being advertised so high up is a good sign though

Seriously though, anyone else here kinda...not like Finn Balor? I don't think he's a very good character and I've never really been impressed with his in-ring work, either.

Entrance is still cool, though. Minus the chainsaw part today.

Well that was something. It's a shame the Zayn/nakamura intensity and level just made the two main events less impactful.

The blood in the Joe match stressed me out. They interrupted the match many times and it created a weird dynamic and rhythm.. I was wondering, will they change the finish or something, will they shorten it.. So in the end i had the feeling it was super short but probably not that much. it didn't really took an epic length at least for me.

I guess Joe is going to RAW now. Cause what do you do in Nxt when you lost your two chances at the title...

Yeah this is the second time I'm asking about this and sorry if I seem to be nagging but it struck me hard so...

Each opponent she has faced possessed something that Bayley lacked to be 'complete.' She's taking that from them like Mega Man. It's a subtlety that is insanely well written and booked.

Could someone elaborate on this? I find it to be really interesting. Also, keeping up with her mystique, what's that something that Asuka has but Bayley wasn't able to get?

Needs to turn heel badly

His entrance was pretty lame

Viciousness.

He's been boring as hell, friend.

Overall, TakeOver Dallas was a really good show. A hot opening match with American Alpha vs. The Revival and good/great quality matches after that. Except for Corbin vs Aries. I think it could have been better. Aries definitely can put on a show. So I'm not sure if it was Corbin that brought the match down or what. Asuka vs. Bayley was good. I wanted Asuka to win though I'm fans of both. Was surprised Asuka put her to sleep. Joe vs. Finn was good, but could have been better. Damn stoppage for the blood was getting ridiculous and really throwing off the pacing. But besides that, Joe and Finn did good when the match was on. Joe really did his thing tonight. Match of the night was easily Nakamura the God vs. Sami Zayn. Man, Sami really put in work! Match was fantastic and a great debut for Nakamura. And that damn entrance and theme music was on point!

I was never into him neither. I'm trying but there is nothing specially remarkable in his wrestling for me... It's the kind of wrestler.. i only notice his opponent lol.. Owens, Joe.. I've seen many Balor matches and i can't remember his moveset..
And his predator hair look like a kid's cosplay.. But i love his music.
