Miitomo |OT| A new way of COMMUnication

Would I lose my friends list and other data if I uninstall the app?

I think if you link the app with your Nintendo Account you won't lose your data.

from Miitomo FAQ:
What happens if I delete or uninstall the Miitomo application from my device by mistake?

You will no longer be able to use Miitomo unless you reinstall the app. Additionally, unless you've linked the app to a Nintendo Account, all your data (including your Miitomo coins) will be lost, and you will have to start again from scratch after reinstalling the app. Please take care to avoid this.

I answered a question and then deleted it. Now my deleted answer keeps coming up in my friends feeds (which is bad because I deleted the answer because I don't want to share it) and after they read it, where the heart/comment tools should come up, it pops up an error message. This is a pretty bad.

Is this a temporary thing (like it'll drop out of their feed in a day) or is it a bug? :(

nope. now we all know that hatsune miku was your first crush

Oh god, so many red dots. So many friend requests. GAF, you're killing me. I have a life, just how much time am I supposed to budget towards this? This is turning into work! No, worse than that! My friend list is at 300+ already, and the requests just keep on pouring in!

I do wonder why they didn't add any support for birthdays. It seems like such a natural thing to consider in a social app. No alerts, no possibility to give gifts, no Happy Birthday thread/discussion. Having to invade random threads (which inevitably derails the discussion off topic) just to wish someone a happy bday is kinda blah.

Syncing seems borked. Super borked for me.

Maybe try to give another answer to that question?

Amusing Eurogamer piece in which they say things like:

"You cannot upload photographs of your pet or baby for example."

and

"You need sweets to leave messages for other players."

I wonder if they even played it.

So I was going to wait until I got my new phone to start using miitomo, as it just wont run on my old 4s. But today I got told that there's someone on there pretending they're me and adding my friends. Which makes no sense, because why bother. So is there anyway to report them? I'm swinging towards probably not

I was asked what age I would like to go back and I answered 10 yrs old

Then, I got an email promotion from Nintendo jp today that shows me some VC games when I was 10

Actually it is a very interesting promotion :)

Miitomo, the real SkyNet.

Miitomo, the real SkyNet.

It's such a shame the Mii's can't read Japanese (They just say. A A A A A A A A) unless my language is set to Japanese. I have quite a lot of japanese friends.

If i set it to Japanese, it can read japanese and english. But the voice changes (it's super robotic)

Maybe in an update in the future.

If I make a miifoto in game is there no way to just share it to everybody?

Can me and my gf link both of our games to one Nintendo account?

It should just take whatever language the person who shared the answer is using to read the answer. That would fix that problem.

Miitomo makes me feel bad. I see people on my friends lists with 10+ hearts/comments and I struggle to get 1. I must be so boring.
I had a good day yesterday, but that came to a screeching halt today. Feels bad when you don't get those coins 😐

Well, after all the hype I had, I only used the app for two days. It's just one of these social things that I hate, it's no different. Plus the way they chose to make us add friends is just stupid. :(

The app itself is cool, it's just too heavy on resources for what it does, at least in my case. Total battery killer. I have one of those small portable power banks but I don't want to be hooking my phone up to that just to answer the question to what kind of bread I like the best. Miifoto is cool. I'd honestly like Miitomo more if it had a web version that you could use on PC or if it was built into the MyNintendo interface :P

Nah.
Some of my answers are admittedly quite popular and keep a steady stream of hearts/comments coming in, but others have had nothing at all in days.
I just don't think anybody has heard them yet whereas my others stay in rotation.
I'm not sure what's factored in for your Mii to offer up certain answers or what causes them to travel and how frequently but yours is just probably not getting out there enough.

It'll be good to break down how certain things work because there's some interesting systems at play here.

Im amazed theres zero censorship on what you can make your Mii say and that theyve taken their hands off controlling the image maker. Very unNintendo.

i hope nintendo has a lot of updates in the pipeline because while this is great, most people are gonna lose interest really quickly. i already sort of am
they just need more STUFF in it to do. more than just answering questions. you cant even manually share your miifotos, unless i'm missing something
and speaking of miifotos, if they dont add a ton more stamps and different things you can put in them, they're blowing it. thats the secret best part of miitomo

maybe thats the tradeoff for the insane friend adding system
since its limited to facebook and twitter friends, they dont censor what we post

Im wondering if this is a trojan horse get you to link facebook and twitter for their new friending system so you can add them to your general my nintendo friends list?

Checked quickly and:

I have no idea about the Nintendo account linking, but you can share your Miifoto's using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and bunch of other apps. They're saved as normal pictures on your phone so you can also use your PC.

Anyone else having trouble accessing their friends list? Mine seems to say "Loading Failed" all morning. I need my daily Miitomo fix!

No works for me. Though slower than previous few days.
