Captain America: Civil War - Final Trailer

People are really setting their expectations too high for Spiderman.

He's probably going to have a little screentime but maybe a bit of a significant role. So don't expect too much of him doing much since this movie isn't about him. That's what the solo movie is for.

Plus seeing people saying "where's Spidey" every single time can get pretty annoying.
They need at least one scene to introduce him (and it aint "Hi, everyone), and at least one to get him back to the status quo of good-hearted street level hero. So he cant be on Iron Man's side the entire movie.

I just don't expect him to kick a lot of ass or show much of a presence since this isn't his movie.

I'm just expecting a cameo and some tidbits of him. Nothing more nothing less.

That is all anyone should expect. 15 minutes tops is my expectation level.

Two fight scenes aren't "way too high", don't be silly. Seems you are being way too pessimistic. Some reports suggest his role is far more than just a glorified cameo.

Aunt May is confirmed (?) to be in this movie. Unless you're suggesting that Aunt May walks into the middle of the airport showdown, there will probably be more to Spider-man than just him popping in to say hi to Cap & Iron Man, making a few quips, bashing a few heads together and then vanishing two minutes later, never to be seen until his solo movie. I mean, Spider-man is pretty integral to the original Civil War comics. Even if they can't necessarily do the same thing with him as they did in the comics due to him being such a young, new character in the MCU, they could come up with some other way he'll be important to the resolution of the movie, even if the movie still focuses mainly on Cap.

Not sure how apt your comparisons to WW are. BvS was something that obviously shoehorned characters like Wonder Woman in to the movie just to jumpstart the whole DCCU thing at once, whereas I feel Marvel wouldn't just throw in a cheap cameo by their biggest star they've finally gotten the movie rights back for, but would do something more significant with him in this kind of special occasion.

Perhaps he'll play an important role, but with little screen time. I am not expecting an overall on screen time of more than 7 minutes of him and Aunt mary, especially with that amount of characters in this movie.

Civil War is actually the first MCU Spider-Man movie disguised as a Cap movie.

Open your eyes and look at all the clues!

I want to see Peter Parker if we ever get another trailer.

Spider-Man may be my favorite hero ever, but I have a gut feeling that the character most people will talk about after this movie hits is Black Panther.
We have already had some awesome Spidey action in film, but T'Challa ready to make his presence known to the world.

I feel he is going to come in like a beast in this film and start the hype train rolling hard for his solo movie.

The question is if the world can handle Black Panther in all his glory.

One, Spidey needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.

Two, whenever Spidey's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, "Where's Spidey?"

And whenever someone asks, "Where's Spidey?", it will cut away to Wakanda to show him having his hair braided.

My question is will any of the cinematography look as cool as the concepts? That is something I am eager to find out because as much as I disliked BvS, the action, when on, was ON.

Genuinely surprised that there wasn't a big Spider-Man push after the trailer dropped. I suppose they don't want to set expectations for him too high which is fine by me (just wait, they'll start pushing him hard after I post this).

Am I the only who's excited for post credit scene? Hope I won't get spoiled.

I'm very excited. There are so many possibilities of what they'll be teasing. I hope it's not a Doctor Strange thing just because it's the next movie in line.

I'm hoping it's either related to Panther, Spider-Man or Thor & Hulk.

How on Earth would War Machine not just body Falcon in seconds?
By holding back because none of these people want to kill or seriously injure each other (well, of course some of the hits would probably harm intestines and/or fracture skulls & other bones in the body IRL, but we're talking movie logic/physics here). War Machine can't just blast Falcon from the sky with his thingamajigs, he can only try to knock him out which severely limits his ability to go all out.

Then again, maybe Stark equipped everyone and Falcon too a liking to it.

I guess they can't equip Falcon with his standard pistols and have him shoot at War Machine, it would be the most one sided thing ever.

Reading some of these comments about the intent and limits of fatality on the fight, I'm starting to get a little worried this won't work at all. Like the Bucky/Cap/Iron Man stuff will definitely hold weight either way, but our other heroes going up against each other? I don't know. Like are they just going to be pairing off to get out of the real line of fire, like the shots of Hawkeye taking on Black Widow for example? are they just going to start posing as an actual fight to keep one-another out of actual harm? I'm concerned how motivations are going to be conveyed.

I'm gonna go with plot armor mate.

Is that the correct answer?

That'll be the case for every matchup in this fight. These guys are not trying to murder each other, so it's not gonna be one-sided either way. Otherwise it would really only be down to Wanda, Scott or Vision to end it.
