Third parties doesnt matter. The userbase for most 3rd parties games are already established elsewhere. People wont quit their friend lists, live subscriptions, game library just to play 3rd parties on Nintendo's platform.
I agree to some extent that some of the major 3rd party franchises, especially the Western games, are already established elsewhere. But that does not make them not matter. Third party games offer variety and sustainability that current install base remain active in using the system. Nintendo-system versions of let's say FIFA may very well be the least selling among other ports, but it still offers options for players that own the system that want FIFA to still use the system and not go elsewhere. It keeps them occupied while the big hitters are still under development.
The effect of Western third parties on Nintendo platforms are sometimes overestimated, but still they play a major role in filling Nintendo's library and keeping the install base satisfied when they are still developing first party games.
I just know I want me some shoujo sparkle Waluigi, and face-rubbing on my GamePad
That would give me some warm and fuzzy feelings.
