I hope that they can find whatever has been missing since they stopped making Bad Company. The BC campaigns are some of the best military shooters ever, and i'd say they have hands down the best characters in a military shooter. Just look at the little videos that they made for the characters back then

Those characters are so memorable and have so much personality. So it's shocking that they went from that to BF3 and BF4 where none of the characters are really memorable.

And then you have the gameplay. The original Bad Company is exactly what you'd expect from a Battlefield single player. It dropped you into sandbox environments and let you tackle missions how you wanted to instead of being put on a linear path. I don't know why they keep pushing for the set-piece CoD-style single player when they can't pull it off as well as the CoD guys. But their Bad Company single players were amazing.

Characters were fun, yes but the game play is a mixed bag. The AI is dumb as rocks and appear from nowhere, all the buildings are identical in each level. Still somewhat linear but there is more open spaces but hello flashing get your arse back in the action warnings. Destruction was cool, variety was pretty good. Bad Company campaigns are better than the other Battlefield games but not way above. Character chatter and set out for fun is what raises it above for me. I really don't know what their thinking with recent campaigns, looks nice for trailers?

BF4 didn't click with me and it's all because of the graphics- and later bringing back previous maps. I hate backtracking. Make your new favorites!

I can't wait for the real next gen BF. No more cross gen bullshit. It's been five years and and halfway in a new gen. Drop it on me DICE. Drop it on me like only you can!

No they are not. I can assure you a game like Mass Effect Andromeda, GTA 6, GT Sport and God of War 4 will look better than what we have seen so far.

It is true we will not see the crazy improvements like on the PS3, but we should expect similar evolution as on the Xbox 360.
Moreover, the tools dev uses keeps on getting better regardless of console optimization.

Yes they are.

We havent seen any of the games you mentioned. You are hyping things up that havent been shown.

This consoles are not some exotic stuff like last gen. There is a reason why Sony is building a upgraded PS4...
 
Progressively went from awesome MP focused game, to cinematic SP eye-candy snorefest. Drop the SP, make the MP the core great focus.
 
I just want to have WW2 setting again so they can do the Normandy beach landing again.
Frostbite engine and that assault. Hot damn,

Do you really think it is so easy to max out a console? It takes hard work and years of experience with the hardware. This is a quote from the Lead Designer at Naughty Dog:
“There are definitely areas that I can see that we will be able to do better things already, after this. You know, we have some really smart programmers at Naughty Dog, and I’m always pretty surprised of what they can do.

I think it was easier to get things up and at a certain level here, and we have some ideas that we’ll work on in the future.

I have a hard time seeing that it will take the same evolutionary jump as you know… the difference between the first Uncharted versus The Last of Us is enormous. But there is no doubt that the next thing we do, we’re gonna get even more out of that PlayStation.”

This seems very reasonable. There will no doubt be significant improvements - just not on the scale of Uncharted 1 ----> The Last of Us
 
Never got the hate also. Just non military but the game played like every BF game i played since the beginning. Never had the feeling i wasnt playing a BF game.

Going to grind some Achievements next week in Both Hardline and BF4 before the reveal :D

We are getting the release date of Persona 5 in less than a week and we can take a look at the sequal to the best multiplayer FPS around the same time? What a time to be alive!

Star Wars Battlefront is the perfect example that dropping the campaign does not mean that devs will suddenly make a better MP game. So if they make it MP only, it's very likely that this just means that you will get less game for the same price.
