The worst part about it is they have a good halfback (actually 2 even if Marshall is getting long in the tooth), but they don't use him like they could.

stephen jackson actually looked pretty decent when they actually handed the ball to him, and Faulk is past his prime, but still can be productive. Martz is a moron. And don't give me the "they had to throw cause they were behind" shit, cause they had ZERO rush yards in the 1st half.

Wow, you gotta like the way the Eagles D responded. I can't believe they said, 'They won't score another point.' and fricken did it. Holy shit. It was a totally different game. Wow, this lived up to the hype. People who didn't get this game missed out.

Not saying we would have won, or even tied, but even YOU have to see that the play SHOULD have been ruled a incomplete pass. Whether or not what the ref saw is not relevant in this discussion, although it's all that matters in the actual game. Ref blew the call, then they blew the challenge. The Senior Head of Bumblefucks will issue an appology in 2-3 days, not that it matters, game is over.

I lied, one more comment. If it had been an incomplete pass, it would have been a penalty anyway (ineligible receiver) as it hit a lineman in the back.

or maybe its because martz has fucking 5 wr's running deep routes every play and expects his QB to get decent protection?

the eagles might pass a lot, but it is west coast passing. short (relatively speaking) passes and lots of YAC. that's the difference.


p.s. oh and of course the rams defense is 100% garbage

Point to one stupid decision today by A Reid? Well, besides still throwing the ball and putting McNabb in harms way. Oh wait...

Besides, the Eagles couldn't effectively run the ball 25+ times a game, unless they are playing the...I don't know who. But still, our O line is not meant to be able to run the ball when people expect them. We throw to set up the run..barely. We have some big guys but we just can't run that well. We have a great average YPC to be so average but that is due to Westbrook's ability to make people miss. I wish we could go for the jugular, like San Diego's nice win today but we can't. So, we throw alot, occasionally will become unimaginative but at no point, come anywhere near close to that St Louis-Carolina playoff game a few years ago. 4th and 2, at their 8 yard line, in the 4th, after proving they couldn't stop the run all day, they go for the field goal. I think they even had a 3rd and short. I can honestly say that when we lose, we lose because of the players 99% of the time.

With no steelers game this week, thank god I decided to watch the end of the Nascar race instead of Jets/Ravens and their aborted idea of football. And now I sit down to discover that the Sunday night game is perhaps the most unappealing matchup in the history of the game.

one day your team is going to be pretty shitty, then we'll see how you like it when i say "OH christ steelers vs. eagles? greeeeeeeeat..." if only GAF were around in the 80's and i was old at that time. i would have enjoyed those years here at GAF loving the niners championships! those days will return soon enough

What's with all the pop-up onsides I see lately? I always thought the bounce-and-pop version was a lot more reliable... the pop-up is a decent change up, but I see more of it than the tried and true these days...
