Battlefront has a lot of content, don't know what you are talking about.

Technically speaking it had more maps and game modes at launch than launch BF3/4

But of course some people were looking for more (sp/more weapons etc).

But we as gamers should be asking for better, more cohesive content.

More (content) of it is always welcome, sure, but I'd rather not have 15 versions of Metro designed maps.

Best thing about Battlefront (other than it not being bloated with shit like weapon attachments) was that the maps were designed for game modes and didn't just have game modes shoved in. Rush is practically unplayable in Battlefield 4 because of this.

Absolutely.

yes, its nice having more maps in every game mode.

But, at it's simplest, you're trying to make it work on on something it doesn't work on.

Then throw in game mode specifics (rush rules for example) on top of that, and you are left wanting to like it, but you can't because it doesn't gel.

I agree with you about everything, however, their is one big flaw. I love having maps designed specifically for certain modes (I think it was BF3 that tried to make every map work with every mode and it just failed miserably). HOWEVER, their simply werent enough maps for each mode. I only really liked walker assault and the BF style control point one but having just 3-4 maps to rotate through got old very quickly.

If those large scale modes had just 3-4 more maps I would still be playing the game.

'BATTLEFIELD History'

What if (and this might be crazy), DICE too is doing a remaster... Of 1942, Vietnam, BF2 and 2142?

The down side being... Where do they go after?

With Battlefield content was never an issue if you ask me. If you're willing to pay for it of course.

Ya, Battlefield always had content. Its honestly never been a problem until Star wars which is why i have not and will never buy that season pass.

Battlefront now has 7 "large" maps, so you can go back and play.

One massive MP Battlefield game that spans all of their games. One map you're running around in 1942, next match is a 2142, next its modern day, then back to WWII. Bring all the best maps and modes across the generations.

The speculation of This game has gone from being a WWI game to WWI alternate history to Modern Day to 1943 back to Modern to 2143, and now it might a remaster medley of 1942+Nam+Bf2+2142.

so DICE, my question is

Still 3 less than BF4 launched with.

I was responding to his comment about the lack of large maps in Battlefront (which was the case to be honest, before the free maps dropped), not comparing it to the number of maps that shipped with BF4.
And if you want to go down that road: Battlefront's small maps are all (but one) unique, not sectioned off parts of the larger maps. Taking that in to account Battlefront shipped with more than 10 maps.

And I'm saying even now with more large maps, it still has less large maps than BF4 launched with.

Fuckin do it DICE. Just do it. The signs are there! You put the Bad Company logo on that Battle Pick up in the community map in BF4.

MAKE BAD COMPANY 3.

OR REMASTER BC2. KEEP EVERYTHING THE SAME JUST UPGRADE THE GRAPHICS :D

If it's a WW2 FPS how would they handle the insane level of customization people are used to on their weapons? I'm no history/weapons expert but weren't attachments/optics almost non-existent for weapons in that time period?

BATTLEFIELD 1944

BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY 3

Just. Fucking. Do. It.

And then you'll all bitch cuz it doesnt feel "BC" enough and that the leads dont know what theyre doing and whens locust9 back, etc etc.
Folks dont remember the bitching when BC2 released, about how bad and lineal was compared to BC1.

But hey, im chill. IM CHILL!

I want a 1944 with no class customization, no weapon customization, no vehicle customization.

Basically 1943 with 64 players, a dozen more maps, and 5 classes.

I can totally see a lot of AMD cards coming bundled with BF5. It'd be a great way to help sell the new Polaris line. I'm saying this as someone considering jumping ship onto AMD if their new GPU's are as amazing as the rumors led me to believe

I just hope Rainbow 6 and Overwatch's relative success all push EA and DICE to focus on MP and just completely cut out SP. Just have SP be MP maps with bots or something like in 1942 and BF2

If it's BF, I don't mind which way it goes. It's not like COD where besides exosuits, multiplayer setting has always just been a coat of paint.

If they go future, we'll have hover ships etc. in dystopian futuristic maps in Frostbite 3 (4? Can't remember) and if it's WW2, we'll get fresh, next-gen take on the period.

This is a very good point. Would love it if they were involved in some way, remastering BC or BF3, or anything really I love those guys.

I love them too, but EA said they didn't care enough about remasters to put time into them, so at most I can see BC and BC2 becoming backwards compatible on Xbox One, or maybe they implement a solution to fix the earlier BF games on PC since Gamespy shut down, or both.

If BC is to return, I want to see smaller maps with major destruction. Non of that Levelution rubbish. Some of my favourite Battlefield Moments comes from the BC series, something I feel has dropped off in the mainline BF series.

Forgot about that. You're probably right.

I guess I secretly hope they are working on MoH title haha

I just want proper Rush maps and that level of destruction back.

I don't know... those buildings looked so plain because of that level of destruction.

I'm not going to believe it's BF5 until proven otherwise.

Didn't play it, but where the carrot? How do you get people to keep playing and coming back without having unlocks?

Yeah, that worked real well for Titanfall... even when the game was really fun.

I don't get the "I need to chase a carrot" in a competitive shooter. I played the SOCOM series on PS2 where everything was unlocked from day one and it was about learning maps, improving your skills, and doing clan wars. I've spent thousands of hours on that franchise. I feel you should be playing a game because the game is actually fun, not because you need to see a bar fill up to get another worthless attachment.
