People are idiots

Push the payload by myself just shy of the end but can't finish because the morons would rather play tdm

This is the same issue with TF2 Payload. After years of this game mode most people still don't focus on pushing unless time is just about to run out. It's annoying.

well, looks like i'll definitely be buying this game. i'm not saying i'm great or anything but i think i am playing rather well and can see myself playing this for a long time.

it's very much a team game, and everyone doesn't really know what they are doing yet. just try and learn the characters. customize controler/keyboard layouts and group up with some friends.

anubis temple is such a bad map.

Yeah of all the maps i played on last night, none of them are ever used in the competitive circuit. Now you know why Anubis is never picked/ one of the first banned.

Still coming to terms with all the new maps - the stress tests were very limited. I really liked the one that had a capture point with a giant bottomless pit in the middle of it. I spent the whole round trying to dunk people in there with Pharah's knockback.

Zenyatta is such a cool hero. You can deal lots of damage while also healing the hell out of your mates.

But no one beats Tracer. Such a fun hero to play and probably my best hero so far.

This game is fun and addictive, but man am I bad right now. I definitely need to spend a lot of time learning the characters movements/ability to flank and escape and figure out how to best coordinate with different characters. Sometimes it seems tough to accomplish much of anything. Proper positioning is definitely a major issue for me, really have to learn the maps.

As far as payload, symmetra is useless on offense, but practically queen of the battlefield on defense. 6 turrets plus a teleporter layed down and the enemy cant move.

Is it me or is every map a chokepoint fest?

Sort of. Each map usually has three flanks to each choke so if a defending team pushes out to far it's really easy to get to the backline with the mobile disruptors like Tracer or Reaper. The hard counter to lock down a flank is a Symettra death rooms. They're impossible for a solo disruptor to break through. Then you have maps like Anubis and Hollywood where the flanks enter from near one choke to get to the backline behind the choke.

The map design is crazy. They let the heroes be the stars of the game.

Man I am loving this more than I thought I would. I thought I would like it and it would be a shooter I'd want to play every so often but it turns out, it's hard for me to STOP playing it.

Mei is the standout for me so far. love her power set, her icewall should qualify for play of the game because it can be ruinous for opposing teams. Great design too

the fact that you get points for blocking alone is the greatest thing ever.

On the one hand, the PS4 version is totally not bad! It's pretty, it runs smooth, and controls well. Getting rumble feedback on the controller feels great too.

On the other, it's definitely slower, but that's not 100% bad as it's more conducive to my current skill level

On the other, other hand I'm metaphysically certain that the PC version will get better support and updates

Still undecided on which PO to cancel.

Lol tried soldier once and he is fucking OP

Lmao

0 recoil and stuff?

Really like soldier but he's only OP if you can consistently land shots on heads. If you can you're a machine, if not you just do okay. I like him too but he's super vanilla, initial burst for me. I tend to swap out of him quick.

OK I get that they want to cut down on afk players, but it's like 30 seconds or something of inactivity and you're booted. That's nuts.

Assuming they give it the same support as they have Diablo 3 then the PS4 version will get patched on the same day with the same content as the PC version.

The only difference between the two is the lack of seasons, which they aren't able to implement on consoles for a variety of reasons - but that shouldn't be an issue for Overwatch. Everything else is identical.

bastion is just going to be the zero skill hero forever isnt it? just sit in a corner and hold down fire while you eat cheetos

If only 2 sniper shots from behind Rein's barrier weren't enough to take it down!

Yes, but he is an easy counter with Widowmaker or Roadhog.

I have decided to cancel my collectors edition and grab this for as cheap as possible. I for sure love it but there really isn't much to it.

PS4 version seems to be running OK. I wanted to try it out since more of my friends will be playing on there. My only worry is that the community won't be as strong there vs the PC. I guess I could always switch over.

I think it might be the other way round, at least for casual play. For the last few years console versions of most shooters had much better longevity there compared to PC.

This game is so good. Tracer is maybe my favorite FPS kit ever

I'm so glad my friends play supp and tank almost exclusively so I can feed all game

Sneakily installed this on my work computer and I'm totally surprised how great it runs on a sub-par machine :o

New nvidia drivers are crushing it on this.

Stable 143 fps (on 144 hz display) at 1440p everything maxed.

During closed beta, I was getting 90-110.
