So basically, his political career has just ended, right?

At this level hopefully.

It dragged on far too long I think for him to have a serious shot in the future. It wouldn't be unprecedented to think otherwise (Reagan) but historically and statistically he's most likely done.

Hopefully the Tea Party dies with him.

Please sequence this with the faces of Jeb, Rubio and Cruz. PLEASE.

Trump would be wise to begin chasing after Bernie supporters. Great strategy for Trump, and likewise it'd be a scary thing to counter for Hillary without Bernie's support.

Trump COULD win in that case.

DARKEST TIMELINE BEGINS.

This also means that Fiorina is officially the first person in history to lose a primary battle TWICE.

oh my god

Cruz is much worse than Trump imo

What a crazy day for Cruz news

i'd argue that's barely an "imo", he just seemed worse on nearly every level

One last time for the top row.

it's like an airhorn playing in my heart

Reap what you sow, GOP. And you gone sowed a whole lotta crazy.

For those of you liberal gaffers that think Trump is just as bad, you are sorely mistsken. I am a Republican, but found Cruz to be an ultraconservative religious nutjob that was a nasty sonofabich to boot.

Was there even going to be a contested convention after today? Trump needs less than 40% of the remaining delegates to win outright.

A Hispanic immigrant just got beaten by a guy promising to build a wall against Mexicans. When you think about it, this is a real symbolic victory for the Trump coalition.

Must have gotten a VP offer from the Trump.

In all seriousness, he was an awful candidate that was somehow even more awful than his awful competition. I do not cheer for his departure since we're still stuck with what's left.
