The saltyness over Jim's review is off the charts lmao

That's so false.

It's arguable when limiting the context to current popularity, not overall unit sales (I doubt Uncharted will ever catch up). GT5 has managed a very respectable ~11.9m, but 6 has sold less than half that, whereas the three mainline Uncharted games were sitting somewhere above 21 million as at last June, a figure the Nathan Drake Collection has no doubt pushed even higher (Sony didn't provide a split, but I'd hazard a guess and say 2 > 3 > 1).

D0hv is right, though, that no decisive proclamation can be made until the GT series finally makes its PS4 debut -- and even then it'll be hard since Uncharted's sales figures, unlike GT's, aren't regularly updated.

Never mind, managed to watch the Feminist Freq. video. I agree with a lot of the points but some of them have a bit of shaky basis. As if they didn't beat the game or take the entirety of the story into consideration.

Still good though.

The Naughty Gods must be brought back down to earth. They can't keep getting away with all this overt praise that other devs are worthy of, too.

No, let them stay up there so we can get Savage Starlight!
This would be equivalent to Cyberpunk 2077 for me. Something like that made by the wizards at ND is something I'd fucking kill for. I don't even allow my brain to go there or think of the possibilities cause that shit is a great sin and injustice to my existence. Just make that shit, ND. Please.

Wowwww. I was expecting to enjoy uncharted 4 but wasn't at all expecting for it to be such a critical darling. I'm kind of excited now.

I will admit I expected some "attention whoring" 6 or 7 to crop up. Game is HUGE profile release of a series some seemed tired of or were never really into, so it seemed ripe for a couple/few reviews going that way. No way would I consider 8-9 reviews attention whoring though.
LOL what

Apparently many people assume every person giving a bad score to something they enjoy is Armond White.

Prediction: Edge will give it a 10. Thread will rejoice, Chloe twerk will resurface. Shacknews will give it 7.5, and IGN's score will actually decrease to an 8.5 due to MP not appealing to reviewer. Meltdown overload and neogaf shuts down for 48 hours. End.

When other developers push graphics, story telling and technical boundaries as much as Naughty Dog, they will get that praise I guess, but most don't get the luxury of time, having to hit publisher deadlines.

Rockstar and CDPR are worthy, but most developers don't reach these hights of greatness.

"third act felt a bit rushed"

Wasn't there another review that said the third act went on for too long? LOL. I guess the third act may be the open ended jeep section that they showed off and it's as long or as short as you want it to be or something.

That jeep section is Chapter 7, it is not third act at all

Lmao that would be hilarious.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm you're responding to.

I'd wager the third act feeling too long or too short to some people might crop up depending on their connection to the story or characters, with some people wanting a little more time with them or a little less time with them.

Edit: apparently not.

I'll jump in to say that I think that the third act was paced great. And honestly, I can see the argument for why it might go on too long. But I don't see it for rushed.

One of the best things about the game is that it lets itself breathe.

Zen-line exploration moments after clusterfuck shoot-outs and encounters? Cause that's how I'm interpreting that.
