I don't think they'll be remotely ready to show anything of worth at E3 for TLoU 2. At best, I think they'll give us a small teaser at PSX this year. You guys have to remember, Naughty Dog have been one team since 2013, so they've been hands on deck on Uncharted 4 for a while now, only having a small team working on TLoU 2 since Uncharted 4 went gold. I wouldn't get your hopes up for E3 :/

I need a new Hotshots Golf like asap. I wonder how far off it is for North American release?
It looks like it doesn't even have a Japan release date yet?

Sure. By now I meant the next game that they make...not that it is ready to be announced.

I think TLOU 2 will be the big closer at E3 next year. Give Uncharted some room to breath and enjoy some DLC throughout the rest of the year.

Like everyone else here, I fully expect God of War and Dead Don't Ride to be the major headliners at E3 this year.

It's probably going to come out of nowhere. The game was playable at PSX in December and announced in 2014. Can't be THAT far off... right?

Well, of course they are working on another unnanounced game already, and this guy beeing on the art field they are prob doing just pre production and concept stuff

if its TLOU 2 the game is pretty far away, because i can't imagine Neil Druckman work on both games + a movie as a director

So even 2018 sounds too optimistic for TLOU

If its a new IP however by a new director, the game could be already past Pre Production at this moment & after Uncharted 4 the main Teams joins the new IP Team

Atleast i hope so.

2018 - New Ip
2020 - TLOU 2?

Speculation is that he's referring to Gran Turismo Sport as this was posted on GTplanet and Jordan (the guy that runs the site and has tight connections with Polyphony) "liked" the post. Rumor is that its been shown around recently and we've now got confirmation that Polyphony has been inviting GT Academy participants to London for an event that starts on May 18th and runs through the 20th.

Eh... i dunno... GT Sport will be a prologue kinda thing no?, prettied up PS3 assets?, i'm not expecting much out of it honestly. Don't think it can beat DriveClub, prove me wrong Polyphony.

Nerdleaks found some concept art for what looks like a western game. In the bottom of the pics it says ''Copyright of Sony Computer Entertainment''. ''Days Gone'' maybe?

Dead Don't Ride? I know someone said bikes but maybe they are wrong and it's horses. Everything else fits.

Sucker Punch asks for a character pipeline technical artist with good aesthetic instincts for human anatomy and biomechanics as a bonus and asks for a systems designer with experience working on an open-world game as a bonus.

So, it seems that their next game will be open world. The biomechanics part left me confused, but it may be important, so I included it.

edit: Naughty Dog has posted a job for a game designer who will have the responsibility to design and produce fun and emotionally engaging third-person action gameplay and levels. So, I think Naughty Dog's next title or the title after the next one will be in a similar vein of uncharted.

Savage Starligh!? Yehhhhh!

I wouldn't be surprised if we get another IP from naughty dog before another TLOU.. Bruce and Neil still have to do the single player dlc for U4. This would be a perfect opportunity for ND to split into two teams again. One that works on the new ip, and one that works on the dlc. Before Bruce and Neil begin work on TLOU2... I could be completely wrong though

It isn't too early for Naughty Dog to tease The Last of Us 2. Uncharted 4 was first teased in November 2013:

Watching that trailer back,
sounds like Sam was originally going to be the villain?

Let's not forget The Last of Us came out in 2013 (same year as Uncharted 4 reveal) and the fan base is thirsty for news.

No way Naughty Dog will be at E3. Try next year E3 if that..

Sony will focus on Dead Don't Ride and GOW4 as the new game announcements at the show, with new info on Detroit, Horizon, GT:S, TLG and Dreams.

Yeah but that was when Amy's team was on board. Had things gone according to planned U4 would have come out in Late 2014 or Early 2015. Game started development most likely in 2012.
E3 Tease is a tad too early, if it is TLOU 2, then a tease at the end of this year. If it's a new I.P. than it I'll be next year.

Because you have a point:
2011: U3 Released, TLOU Revealed
2013: TLOU Released, U4 Revealed

It's hard to say because I don't know if there's a definite list of Phyre Engine games out there. Pretty sure the info on Wikipedia is incomplete. Do we know who ported Heavy Rain to PS4? I was under the impression that Quantic Dream handled it themselves.

I dont think Detroit or Dreams will be at their keynote at E3. maybe in sizzle reels. GT Sport wont have a lot of focus as well I imagine, sice the new trailer is already debuting on May 19th

It will be Horizon and TLG new demos, DDR (not the dance one lol) and GoW4. Gravity Rush 2 could use some showtime as well, but Sony doesnt sound like knows how to market that series. And maybe Pixelopus new game as well. I think that's set on first party stuff.

Sony doesnt sound like knows how to market that series.

That's putting it generously.

I think I would say that Sony America/Europe doesn't even want to market that series, but it just so happens to be an obligation that they put some amount of effort to market it in some capacity, being a first-party title.

And that sucks, because I feel like that series has so much potential. Its a superhero open world game and Kat is an awesome character.

Two things that I think that the sequel really needs is more deep sidequests and better combat, which seems to be the case with the new kinds of gravity powers they showed in trailers so far

PSX 2017? There's no way they wait that long. The Last of Us was announced a month after Uncharted 3 launched and Uncharted 4 was announced less than six months after The Last of Us released on PS3.

Now if you mean PSX in December of this year, then yeah, I could see that.

That was a special case. TLOU was already in development since 2009. Now the situation is different. We'll see anyway.

Keep in mind that ND doesnt have that same two team structure anymore since some of their heads on creative fields left. Uncharted 3 and TLoU were two differente teams

It may have been a special case, but I also used another example. And in Naughty Dog's entire history with Sony, they've never waited 18 months to announce a new project.

Eh, after what happened with Uncharted 4's original announcement, I can imagine ND or Sony deciding to scale back a bit in terms of announcing it too early, at least to the extent where there's no title or even in-engine footage.

Announce it next year, targeting fall 2018. I think that's not too bad. 2.5 years between UC4 and their next game.

Maybe. I could see an E3 2017 announcement. I don't think there's any chance they wait until the end of 2017 to show off a teaser.

Oh, and I absolutely believe Fall 2018 is the earliest their next game releases.

Which is also not a good one because when Uncharted 4 was announced, that was the creative team behind Uncharted 3 announcing a game, so it was 2 years later after the release of the game.

Then Amy and some other folk left ND and they brought in TLoU team to work on it, ending the two team structure as we used to know

E3 next year might be a proper time tho

You're acting as if ND is incapable of hiring new people. It's entirely possible they'll expand again.

Also, ND was a single-project studio for a very long time in the past and they never waited 18 months to announce something new. Even during the development hell that was Uncharted 1, a game that almost destroyed the studio.

We will get a new game announced before December, 2017.

I also don't think revealing U4 early hurt them or Sony at all. It was announced on the eve of the PS4 launch. If anything, it made people more confident in purchasing the system . So, even if their next project is years off, they're not going to wait until the end of 2017 or later to announce it.

I actually agree with this bit

Wrong, those assumptions were dismissed by Naughty Dog ages ago. They still have the same structure they used to have, a large team working on their main project and a small team working on prototypes/pre-production for their next project.

E3 2017 for Naughty Dog's next announcement seems like a relatively safe bet to me but who knows. Shit might happen, like it did with Uncharted 4 and SSM's new IP, or Sony might just want to hold off the announcement for longer, like they've done with God of War 4. We'll see.
