Single men wash their sheets four times a year

Yeah, that sounds about right for me... I know the last time I changed my sheets was around Valentines day, so its going on 3 months at this point.

Also, not single, but around valentines I started dating my current GF and I wanted to figure out how she felt about sleeping in the same sheets we had sex on so I washed them to be nice. Turns out neither of use give a fuck about any of that and we are both too lazy to even care about it

Anyone not sleep under the comforter? I just usually sleep on top of the comforter, but take half of it and cover myself. Now during winter, I sleep under the comforter for warmth.

"It's a seasonal thing, I guess"

I can't believe some ripe ass bros are sleeping through the entire summer using the same set of sweaty, splooge stained sheets.

I don't even know what happened to my bedsheets. Help.

Going by the hygienic standards shown by some in this thread, they probably crumbled and turned to dust.

I sleep over the comforter and with a blanket.

Shower before bed. Sleep with pajamas. How dirty are those sheets possibly getting?

You're rolling around under some blankets in PJs for 5-8 hours a night, it gets pretty dirty. It's not like wearing PJs and taking a shower makes bedsheets magically immune to the accumulated grease, sweat, and dead skin of an entire season of sleep.

Shits gross.

I don't wash my sheets because I'm going for that "someone died on this bed and wasn't found for months' aesthetic.

I'm on par. Haven't changed my sheets yet this year. Of course no one's ever been on it except me and I never get in bed unless I've showered and ready to sleep. So if anything, it's just dusty.

I'm always had a very bad nightmare problem and could never keep sheets on my bed until arounda year ago, and I've washed my sheets, now that they're actually staying on my bed, about 10 times since. Aaaalmost once a month since I moved in with my girlfriend.

I have three sets of sheets, change them out every two weeks.

If I didn't have to go to a laundromat and had machines in my building or even better my unit, I'd do it every week.

Sounds about right for me >_>. Keep in mind I don't have any friends so no one ever sees my bed. My mom tells me I should wash them once a month.

Once a week, guys? That's way too much work. I probably average... once a month? Sometimes a little longer. Definitely not 3+ months though. After too long the sheets start making me itchy (and they lose their fluffiness).

That is repulsive. I notice a little bit of discoloring on my sheets when I change them weekly. These guys must have dude-shaped grease stains on their sheets.

Very fascinating and somewhat repulsive subject; I'd like to know more.

Bed sheets should be washed every week at least in my opinion.

Some dude who doesn't change his sheets but once a baseball season:

"Nah bro, I just don't sweat, YOU'RE the gross one!"

When it comes to gaf I'm imagining some of the users here going "ew, yuck, I wash them once a week" as they pat their body down with baby wipes while wondering how they keep getting brown stains on their underwear.

This place is amaze.

It's disgusting but in College and a few years after I don't even remember washing my sheets more than a few times a YEAR. They never smelled, girls didn't notice and I never got a disease from it so looks like I made it.

Once a week still seems excessive.

Next up: How regularly do you brush your teeth.

*someone out there somewhere on GAF*

REGULARLY?

Once a week still seems excessive.

You can probably get away with twice a month at most, but once a week is easy because it's:

Sunday - Replace week old sheets with fresh sheet from the linen closet.

Monday - Wash load of laundry including soiled sheets. Put fresh sheet on the bottom of the sheet pile in linen closet.

Ad infinitum

Just an easy habit to get into. Plus, Sunday is clean sheet day!
