Zelda U/NX promo image leaks from Amazon.com

Oh my god this gender talk is really getting tiring. It doesn't even matter!
The only solid 'proof' we have is that Link has been referred to as 'he' by Miyamoto & Aonuma. Of course that doesn't even mean anything if they are trying to hide this apparent 'big reveal' of a female Link or gender select option. Link's styling seen in Zelda U footage/artwork sure is androgynous, but that doesn't mean anything.

Also we have already seen towers in this game.

It's interesting, the style has been looking more muted and restrained than in the original reveal. Which is great.

This image got me hyped af, I want that as a big poster in my room stare at it all day can't wait till tuesday hope Nintendo can deliver

Will hold off for the NX version... those concepts look amazing, unfortunately that's not the art style of the game which seems like a weird mix of simple colors celshaded grass and trees and really noisy normal mapped rocks/enemies.

Edit: Link is cell shaded and simple and easy to read, the enemy they showed off is super noisy and jarring. Almost like a different type of art style.

Why's everyone so excited for this single piece of artwork? Looks ok I guess but it's not even gameplay shot. Nothing to write home about.

eh when? i mean, are you sure that's not the translator interpretation...

Before people get crazy about towers and a Ubisoft collectible checklist, Wind Waker had towers, and every Zelda game has collectibles, whether it be heart pieces, necklaces, poes, skulltulas, or little octopus babies.

The game was announced at 2014 (and hinted at in 2013), and yet we've seen only two pieces of artwork and two (one and a half?) short videos before this day. Oh, and there is an info blowout in two days.

People are thriving for any information.

It showcases the potential gameplay in the game. Like, if the shot is indicative of what the player can accomplish, you'll be able to actually scale mountains, and that's awesome.

I've seen enough of the overworld, I'm more anxious to see what the town(s) look like. The Kakariko Village theme should be really nice in this one if it the OST is fully orchestrated again.

I wonder if Link actually wears green in this game. We've seen a bunch of artwork and all of them are "pyjama" Link.

The towers are probably for teleporting aren't they?

Good call. They could very well be related to fast travel, like those signs in The Witcher 3, or the Xenoblade/Xenoblade X probes and points of interest. So maybe they could even be related to discovering portions of the map, who knows, but i doubt it would be used in the same way as AC/FC because i don't see Zelda going in the direction of hundreds of mini-objectives. Again, showing some point of interest on the map like Xenoblade (maybe with its own twist) seems more likely.

I also find this odd, because its not like Ubisoft Collectathons don't have their good points. The mystery quests in AC:Unity come to mind as some satisfying stuff. The issue is that there's usually a lot of irrelevant chaff that exists for its own sake rather than for the sake of anything else, which was something they solved in AC2 but made into an issue over sequel bloat.

That being said, I expect an advancement on the upgrades in Skyward Sword so some more collectables are to be expected this time. But I think the dungeons would add to that system.

Wii Motion+ controls are back!

Oh man, if they could build on Skyward Sword, that would be great. Not for everyone, of course, but screw everyone.
I'm just worried that it'll be another Twilight Princess, where it attempts to appeal to American tastes and subsequently bores the snot out of me.

Odds are high that he will, but honestly I would be more than fine if they started to move away from that. Maybe make it an optional outfit people can obtain, but there's not reason to have link wear the same outfit in every game.
