I can't wait until the official reveal of this game so this male/female Link debate can finally fucking end. Instead of posting discussion about the newly revealed/leaked promo art we instead get "is that a tit?".

I wouldn't be surprised if the press played the game today. That way, they can have their preview articles up right after the Treehouse demo on Tuesday.
I expect at least one outlet to accidentally break embargo early Tuesday morning. We'll probably get some major Zelda info before it's officially unveiled by Nintendo.

What i see is that in this scenario link is some kind of frodo.
A character with his own quest.
About the climbing, excuse me but is a game mechanic already presented in other zelda and non zelda games.
It is the last thing i care about this new artwork.
I think is a little bit more relevant the fact that there is 4 beacon-towers; there is a new roumor saying that this game has 4 main dungeons and 100 hundred minor dungeons.
But at the same time if link is climbing to reach "somewhere important" then the roumor about 4 dungeons is fake.

I was born a boy, but ever since I was little I've felt something was off. I played Wind Waker, and fell in love with it and the Zelda Series. But something was always wrong. Link was a boy. I wanted him to be a girl. Because I was a girl, always on the inside. And when I eventually googled I found what Transgender was.
Each year the strength of the wish of a Girl Link has increased. I think about it nonstop, everyday of my life.
So please Nintendo, if you have even a shred of good in your hearts please, let this little girl's dream come true. Please let this picture be Girl Link. Please make a Girl Link, forever in all games going forward, always.
Please Nintendo, I'm begging you with all of my heart and soul. Please.

The gender discussion is pretty tiresome but it would be interesting if Link's gender remained a bit of a mystery even after you played the game.
Link definitely has longer hair than usual in his Zelda U art (a ponytail) but there are also no obvious feminine features like extremely thin waist or sizeable chesticles. Even if this Link's a girl, she's not your typical videogame girl. You could also easily imagine he's just a pretty boy.
It would be kind of cool if the character remained that ambiguous. It would be far more interesting than a toggle to use a very obvious female Link.
Another very interesting take on it would be if the "female Link" is actually this game's Zelda.
Zelda has been tom-boyish before (Tetra) but this time she would start off as Link's female counterpart.

You should play Code Name STEAM. It's not just inspired by Lovecraft, it features direct references.
But they didn't notice anything more than everyone else did hours earlier.

Codename STEAM is interesting because purely the ending is definitely ambiguous and you don't "win" utterly and entirely (Or at least one of the characters gets the short end of the stick) which is definitely different for Lovecraft inspired combat games.
Also it's one of the best Turn Based Strategy games on the Market, it's stupid good.
Woah female link confirmation right there! At first I tought the one in the right was the same as the one in the art with epona, but later I noticed she has breasts and a totally different outfit with a white shirt and a blue top over it.
Edit: I just read about it being a shoulder, and yeah I guess that is accurate...lol However watching both arts side to side it is still giving me a huge female link vibe. I guess we will find out soon.
