Zelda U/NX promo image leaks from Amazon.com

looks amazing, wow

Nintendo might actually have a good E3 if Zelda delivers. it's kind of a really smart way to get people excited for NX.

Those towers seems to have a connection with that blue energy techno stuff we've been seeing.

I wonder if they'll be used for fast travel once you unlock them.

Artwork got updated.
New lock screen for my phone.

Alright everyone.

I have carefully analyzed the artwork.

Dark Red castle is most definitely Hyrule Castle/Town. That Church by the lake something new. Maybe Temple of Time/Goddess or equivalent. Zora's Domain might be a bit further north. Not sure that waterfall is connected or not, think the actual domain area, not proper, is about an inch to the left.

Amazon why???? >.<

Sorry. It's intern season, blame them.

Man, that is gorgeous in high res. I'm glad Nintendo decided to release it in advance because of the leak. So many details.

If those towers are fast-travel points, I kinda feel like there are a lot of them? I hope there aren't too many, I understand why people would want to fast travel a lot but I don't want to be disincentivized to manually travel the map.

The bridge reminds me of Bridge of Eldin in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

It's a bit kneejerk at this point, who knows what the hell those things are.

Nincharted: Links Gold
Oooooh....speaking of gold, I'm already flipping out with what kind of preorder incentives they might have in store down the road. I loves me some collectibles. I'll gladly take a hard cover art book off their hands at a high price.

Some of you guys are taking Aonuma's words about Far Cry a bit too seriously. He just said that he was interested in the game and started playing it in his free time. He played Skyrim too and said that he wasn't taking inspiration from that. He also isn't the director of this game. Please relax.

I hope to christ those towers aren't Nintendo taking inspiration from Ubisoft open-world games.

Even if that's the purpose they serve, it doesn't outright mean that they're designing Zelda with all the mundane design philosophies that Ubisoft runs with.

I'm also not sure the overworld will be so big that it'll even need that sort of thing.

Ancient Cistern proved water temples can be good, so

Dear lord that updated version...

Question to ponder: do we think that this is simply concept art that was made prior to production? The towers look quite a bit different and more tech-ey than they did in the VGA 2014 demo.

If this isn't concept art then do we think this is an artist taking a scene or section of the game and illustrating it? I'm not sure how this type of "official artwork" works, especially from Nintendo. So basically, can we expect the layout of the world to actually look like this or is it more or less a concept?

I myself think that the artist knows that each structure we see is actually there in the game, so I would say this art somewhat represents the game world, but I'm interested to see if anyone knows anything about how this type of art is made.

Lanayru Province from TP is like my favorite area in any game, I adore water areas.

Comparing the artificiality of that version's area to the artwork... I really hope the Wii U-level graphics will deliver and it's not all polygonal and pixelly.

Probably late, but I did a quick analysis of the image to see what I could find. Let me know if you lot see anything else and I can update it! (Click for full size)

Could very well be a trace or rendition of an actual screen shot of the game.

Like I pointed out in the last page. The position of locations matches up extremely well with the map we saw at the Game Award demo.

Hard to tell though.
