I love this, ha

Just finished watching the Gamexplain discussion. Ash sure got stuck on the Bridge of Eldin. Great Bridge of Hylia gets no respect :P

Bridge of Eldin:

Over Zora River, no supports.

Great Bridge of Hylia:

Over Lake Hylia, broken supports.

The bridge in Zelda U is based on The Great Bridge of Hylia, but muuuuuuch longer.

The Great Bridge of Hylia had 2 supports between sides of the Lake. In Zelda U it has 15.

I'm thinking that the piece of art only shows a small piece of the world, because otherwise that is one tiny looking world for an open-world game.

It looks like you could ride from the end of the bridge to Hyrule Castle in no time, and from there to death mountain in only slightly more. There's no more interesting landmarks than there was back on OoT's map.

This is only a tiny view of one part of the map. There's no way the map is this disappointing.

We saw a map of the game back at the Game Awards in 2014. This new art doesn't show the entire world.

How huge do you think this game is?

Not all that huge. I mean, in this artwork Link is almost as far south as he can go and you can see across to Death Mountain, which is as far north as you can go.

The green area is what we can see in this artwork. The red areas are areas they showed at the Game Awards. A good chunk of the map is taken up by Hyrule Field. Most of the interesting areas are likely beyond the mountains on all sides of Hyrule Field.

Man, this little piece of art got me more hyped up for the game than I've been since the first trailer was shown. Can't wait to see more of this.

More than the art itself them choosing that image to represent their game bodes well for a Zelda that can capture a sense of adventure.

I guess it's going to be a small world after all?

Yeah, the world map is not that small. The perspective is high so you're seeing a lot while large towers that Link can climb look smaller than him. Practically, it's pretty big, if not overwhelming. it gives me hope that it will be rather dense despite being quite large.

Tbf I don't think it's small and we have no clue what this land holds. It can have big towns, villages, caves and mountains to climb high.

Plus, there could be an underground area to explore or there could be a dark world to explore too.

The artwork looks great. Can't wait to see the game in action again. :)

huh

some people always view forums on the highest amount of posts displayed per page. i don't even understand why you're arguing this. you're both right
This.

Besides, it's 52 pages.

Yeah, I think it's a lot bigger than it looks. There's a bit of warped perspective due to the high altitude.

Zelda Uncharted, amirite?

hmm, let me see. ;)

Zelda: Uncharted Legend

Hyrule Uncharted?

Uncharted 5

Uncharted 5: A Link's End.

Uncharted/Assassin's Creed-style climbing.

So U King was for..Uncharted king! Lol

so more like Uncharted.

So this next Zelda is uncharted hell to the yes

Urge to climb rising

The Legend of Uncharted

Uncharted-style climbing in the big open world? I'm excited all over again!

Which is completely relative to the amount of unique content inside the world, not the physical size. After all, games like Dark Souls feel absolutely huge and dense, whereas games like Fallout 4 can feel empty and devoid of anything meaningful to do.

^^^^^^^This man gets it. It's not the size that matters; it's how you fill (use :P) it!
