This looks AMAZING

By far and away looks like the best Platinum game ever. SO excited!!!!! :D

Strong co-sign for this. After Bayonetta 1, 2, Vanquish, MGR, Mad World, Infinite Space, Anarchy Reigns, The Wonderful 101, Transformers: Devastation, TMNT & the as of now unreleased Nier: Automata it looks by far their best game to date.

Woof, I want this game to be good, but none of the mechanics looked like they even belonged in a platinum game. What was up with the boring ass flailing they called combat? No wonder Kamiya looked like his soul had been taken. They probably focus grouped the shit out of it.
How is SF Zero PG fault? It was designed at Nintendo EAD.
And it's a good game.

It's a shame that Platinum's making the same mistakes Japanese devs make whenever they try to get mainstream Western appeal.

Hopefully there's more info on Dragon customization during E3 because it's hard to see the benefits of having a wingless Dragon.

Looks kinda rough...

After SF0 and TMNT I'm starting to think Platinum might be spreading themselves a little too thin at this point.

not really..kamiya made resident evil 2 and he doesn't like survival horror games at all from what i've read

Resident Evil 2 was also made during a time when you could develop an entire game and be forced to scrap and start over because the producer didn't approve of it.

I feel like we watched different videos. I didn't think it looked very good at all, unfortunately.
I thought it looked 1000% badass and extremely fun to play and not frustrating. Also the dragons looked cool and the boss fight, while generic, looked like SO much fun.

Also I LOST it when the protag put his headphones on. What a badass!

After playing Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 1, Bayonetta 2, this looks like a wonderful blast of fresh air and is EXACTLY what I want Platinum games doing.

What?! I'm surprised by the reactions here. I thought it looked great and I plan to upgrade my PC to play it.

I'm not sure if its just the boss they chose to demo but, it looked rather slow, or less involved than Platinums usual output, i mean, game like Bayo, MGR etc, you'd be attacking and dodging all over the place, there was a whole lot of standing around shooting arrows here, and jumping onto a dragon to, what appeared to be, firing fireballs.

I hope they show some more demos that show it off better, im willing to give it benefit of the doubt at the moment.

see i thought it looked 10000% badass. i don't know what video you were watching

Pray for Nier Automata

Nier Automata doesn't look like it's being tailored and focus tested for some broad Western audience appeal like this game. Scalebound could still be good, in its own way, but it feels like they've got Kamiya's craziness tightly confined. Automata is unabashedly Japanese.

Between this and FFXV, I think it's fair to say that giant boss fights just don't translate very well to the E3 stage.

Was the frame rate off or is there slow motion mechanic, because it seemed really slow. Especially compared to something like Bayonetta 2

You're like my worst enemy.

:(
PG seems to be losing their mojo lately.
This looks absolutely horrible and will bomb hard.
Does this game even have a combat system? From what I've seen it's
mmo combat with shitty bow shooting...don't get me started on the constant damage output numbers and that shit-show of a main character.
I hope Nier2 brings back PG glory.
