What are you most excited for?

Just went through the list again, not one single game exclusive coming out this year that interests me. Next one is Horizon.

Guess its time to put the PS4 back in the drawer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the actual content in this conference is the strongest its ever been but the pacing and presentation choices were bizarre. It just felt tonally off. I get the games, games, games element but having people talking about games and building things up is fine.

Also Days Gone looks atrocious. Weird thing to end the show on.

games games games - exactly how it should be. Focus on single player is what I wanted and sony delivered. All of microsoft was somewhat multiplayer

bravo

If someone has an avatar that involves nintendo or microsoft is their opinion invaild?
I don't own a WiiU or care for nintendo, bought a ps4 and vita at launch, but since I have a nintendo avatar does that mean I can't be critical of sony or the conference?

I definitely enjoyed SONYs conference as it was about games for a product I own...feels good about my investment.

I am excited for ps4.5/xbox1.5 more than majority but Sony showed more exciting games for ps4 than ms for xbx1 ... just my thoughts.

Sony crushed it. Again.

Probably the most impressive thing about it was the amount of stuff they didn't bother to highlight and the overall compactness of the presentation.

Crazy really to think that they relegated GT to a few seconds in the sizzle reel when its likely going to outsell Forza Horizon 2 handily.

It's crazy how divisive this year's is.

I think Horizon and Spiderman looked amazing. Some other good showings and interesting surprises (I didn't even know that was CoD until the end) but the format and orchestra were sublime. I'd like that to carry on. Just a shame they sidelined loads of games and kept it to an hour.

We are talking about the conference and what was shown, but sure, goalposts etc.

Well, I mean, anything that isn't exclusive is basically just free advertising for the other console. When you're talking about people that sit on GAF and take days off for E3, but only have one console, anything shown that is multiplat is essentially just another part of their own console's conference.

I get it.

games? None of that other stuff matters if you don't care for MS' games... or if you have a PC.
Along those lines Sony's conference wasn't all that impressive if you're not into Last Guardian or Final Fantasy or whatever it was Kojima showed and are interested in games coming out this year. I mean, there were legos and skylanders, and a slow walk through a house with roaches, and a spiderman game that looked like other spiderman games.

I disagree. This conference was hyped up by Gopher himself to overpower last year and it failed to deliver.

Doesn't change the fact that the PS4 getting flooded with software, but the changing tune from "This is about to be the greatest conference ever" to "Let's take things in perspective" is a bit jarring, no?

It was pretty damn good though right?

Sony giving the greenlight to take GOW in such a crazy new direction.

Horizon looks phenomenal

RE7 VR! We're going to play resident evil in VR!! You have to be kidding me.

Spiderman by Insomniac. After sunset overdrive and ratchet who isn't excited about that

That.... was not good.

Microsoft started with a slimmer console with 4k playback, emphasized cross-play and ended with a more powerful console next year.

Sony had an orchestra? Cool?

Microsoft had a new slimmer console, custom controllers, background music, a better way to find like-minded gamers, cross platform play, and a stronger console next year... What did Sony have?

Sony showed me I invested well in my PS4 for the games in the long run. MS didn't how much of that outside two games. E3 is about "long term game investments", if I wanted hardware wars, I would update my PC's GPU and be done about it.

It should be clear now, that many people aren´t attracted by storydriven SP-games, which Sony are producing. Thats ok. Objectively Sony delivered to their target audience big time.

People should accept, that Sony has no interest in certain types of games (as 1st-party). Gamers had over a decade to adjust to the style of the big 3 Sony, MS and Nintendo.

Going ham in 2016, that Sony is dishing out Sony-games is kinda funny. Like complaining about BMW releasing cars. If you want a bike, go to that other company.

Don’t waste your breath man. This is just some pathetic sticking point the warriors are using. Now it’s soo much better to just talk about things releasing soon, when E3 has always been about hype.

It’s just another bragging point to feel better about your console of choice, it’s ridiculous, they aren’t trying to be rational because it doesn’t make any sense. Individual games can have there own spotlight and coverage as they get closer to release, E3 is not a place to time stamp all our “out soon” content. it’s a show to wow and impress owners and entice potential ones, they can show whatever they want.

I'm seeing that now. Apparently, the narrative is no longer about games coming out soon and rather talk about dreams and promises instead. :lol

The conference had more substance than last year IMO. This was just a condensed conference with tons of cool stuff. No filler, no BS and minimal CGI reveals. Easily the best presentation of E3 hands down. Please make them like this every year.

9/10

Yeah this was good. Nonstop games, no filler, no BS. Really surprised Boyes wasn't on stage!

I was mostly impressed with I saw, but the conference itself felt like it ended abruptly. They should've added a segment to show more third party and indie titles with new gameplay footage, latest trailers etc. Detroit Become Human looks really interesting and COD: Infinite Warfare's space flight section is amazing!

One of my favourite E3 presentations ever. From start to finish it was jaw dropping. It never let up once ! it was hard to take it all in, they did so so so well.

Along those lines Sony's conference wasn't all that impressive if you're not into Last Guardian or Final Fantasy or whatever it was Kojima showed and are interested in games coming out this year.

I know, it goes both ways.

But saying "oh what did Sony have?" is nothing short of trolling.

Both had games. If one (or both) didn't have games that interest you... cool, go elsewhere for your games, but don't pretend like one side didn't show anything, because they both did.

I would say it was a good conference. On par with Microsoft's. It had the exact same amount of games I was interested in.

Last year's Sony conference, though? It really did shit all over all the other ones.

Yeah, can't say much other than horizon really did it for me either. It was a great "conference" though. All looked good, but nothing I'm going to count the days until it releases.

Are there some third party conferences tomorrow to look for?

So Microsoft's entire conference was advertising for PC gamers?

But those games are most popular on PS4, so it’s pretty much the other way around. FF15 at a MS press is advertisement for Sony, and all are advertisement for PC. It’s all moot, it’s just about what platform these games are most popular on.

And a lot of what was shown today was from Sony. The list war is just getting stupid now, there’s so much content only coming to PS, or PC/PS it’s not even funny anymore. I don’t think Sony needs to show 90% exclusive for their show, most of the multi-plat stuff shown has a VR angle.

I thought it was because it's a grumpy avatar.

Microsoft wants to sell 2 new Xboxes...well, first they have to make a press like the one Sony did today. So, many games and there are so many more to come.

I can't argue that it wasn't a good show. The orchestra was a great touch, the actual stage setup was amazing, and there was a great pacing at the beginning.

But, there's something missing. IMO, there was something absent from everyone. EA, Bethesda, MS, Ubisoft, Sony, everyone ... I can't put my finger on it, but there's a feeling of incompleteness to everything that's gone on.

I think they deliberately made that CoD transition confusing. I assumed it was a VR title and was like ooooh shit this is cool when before I was dead set on not caring about it this year. Sigh.

Super underwhelming - again.

Started off with God of War parenting simulator. Who seriously thinks that will be fun? Why does Kratos even have a kid? He murdered his entire family. Remember? HUGE plot hole.

Then we had Gorilla games with that hippy bullshit from last year. All we need is a Bernie Sanders NPC. "A Nation will not survive morally or economically when so few have...."

Then we have the last of us: sons of anarchy. Didn't look terrible, just uninspired.

Kojima basically trolled everyone with a trailor that doesn't make any sense YET people will fall in love with it. Let me summrise.
Dead crabs, naked man, no belly button. Some Kyle XY bullshit.

Happy that conker has competition for worst reimagining of a character now that Crash is in skylanders. Speaking of XY, how many chromosomes does that crash look like he has?

That game Detroit looks pretty cool tho.

Never said it was the best conference ever. Insiders can tease all they want and you can choose to get stupidly hyped, but I always keep my expectations in check. Reveals of games that were thought to be dead or impossible aren't the only thing that make a solid conference. Sony revealed a lot of new games here too and they kept the pacing tight the whole way. Unfortunately, the ending was weak, but overall, near flawless pacing.

That was one of the best conferences ever. So little fat, just awesome game after awesome game. I thought Microsoft was going to win e3 but Sony squashed that.

I think it's a legitimate complaint. People have often criticize MS for doing the same thing. In this regard they kinda swapped spots this year.

But all companies do this. They want to share what they have in development- I don't see anything wrong with that, especially if you take a look at what Sony actually has coming out this year.

Well back on topic.....After seeing God of War and Horizon...I think Horizon still is the best looking console game. Man, this could be the Zelda-type game I've been waiting for...hopefully Nintendo blows my expectation out of the water tomorrow. It's going to be hard to top horizon.

So....

The Neo. Reveal later this year and release then? Or have they altered their plans and will change things? Haven't they already sent out devkits?
