We are talking about the conference and what was shown, but sure, goalposts etc.
Its going to be a beautiful October.Woah, The Last Guardian is trending worldwide guys.
games games games - exactly how it should be. Focus on single player is what I wanted and sony delivered. All of microsoft was somewhat multiplayer
bravo
PLEEEEEEASE. MS showed tons of games. They both had decent conferences. Why the need to tear one down to prop up the other?
Along those lines Sony's conference wasn't all that impressive if you're not into Last Guardian or Final Fantasy or whatever it was Kojima showed and are interested in games coming out this year. I mean, there were legos and skylanders, and a slow walk through a house with roaches, and a spiderman game that looked like other spiderman games.games? None of that other stuff matters if you don't care for MS' games... or if you have a PC.
I disagree. This conference was hyped up by Gopher himself to overpower last year and it failed to deliver.
Doesn't change the fact that the PS4 getting flooded with software, but the changing tune from "This is about to be the greatest conference ever" to "Let's take things in perspective" is a bit jarring, no?
That.... was not good.
Microsoft started with a slimmer console with 4k playback, emphasized cross-play and ended with a more powerful console next year.
Sony had an orchestra? Cool?
Microsoft had a new slimmer console, custom controllers, background music, a better way to find like-minded gamers, cross platform play, and a stronger console next year... What did Sony have?
Dont waste your breath man. This is just some pathetic sticking point the warriors are using. Now its soo much better to just talk about things releasing soon, when E3 has always been about hype.
Its just another bragging point to feel better about your console of choice, its ridiculous, they arent trying to be rational because it doesnt make any sense. Individual games can have there own spotlight and coverage as they get closer to release, E3 is not a place to time stamp all our out soon content. its a show to wow and impress owners and entice potential ones, they can show whatever they want.
The conference had more substance than last year IMO. This was just a condensed conference with tons of cool stuff. No filler, no BS and minimal CGI reveals. Easily the best presentation of E3 hands down. Please make them like this every year.
9/10
There's plenty of games to play for now, people dwell on this silly "no release date" thing too much

It was pretty damn good though right?
Sony giving the greenlight to take GOW in such a crazy new direction.
Horizon looks phenomenal
RE7 VR! We're going to play resident evil in VR!! You have to be kidding me.
Spiderman by Insomniac. After sunset overdrive and ratchet who isn't excited about that
Yeah, can't say much other than horizon really did it for me either. It was a great "conference" though. All looked good, but nothing I'm going to count the days until it releases.Just went through the list again, not one single game exclusive coming out this year that interests me. Next one is Horizon.
Guess its time to put the PS4 back in the drawer ¯_(ツ_/¯
Well, I mean, anything that isn't exclusive is basically just free advertising for the other console. When you're talking about people that sit on GAF and take days off for E3, but only have one console, anything shown that is multiplat is essentially just another part of their own console's conference.
I get it.
But those games are most popular on PS4, so it’s pretty much the other way around. FF15 at a MS press is advertisement for Sony, and all are advertisement for PC. It’s all moot, it’s just about what platform these games are most popular on.Well, I mean, anything that isn't exclusive is basically just free advertising for the other console. Which game announcement do you like most in this conference?
Three of those are non exclusive titles.
If someone has an avatar that involves nintendo or microsoft is their opinion invaild?
I don't own a WiiU or care for nintendo, bought a ps4 and vita at launch, but since I have a nintendo avatar does that mean I can't be critical of sony or the conference?
It's tough but:
Cory Balrog + Norse GOW reboot with a blank check.

I was mostly impressed with I saw, but the conference itself felt like it ended abruptly. They should've added a segment to show more third party and indie titles with new gameplay footage, latest trailers etc. Detroit Become Human looks really interesting and COD: Infinite Warfare's space flight section is amazing!
Never said it was the best conference ever. Insiders can tease all they want and you can choose to get stupidly hyped, but I always keep my expectations in check. Reveals of games that were thought to be dead or impossible aren't the only thing that make a solid conference. Sony revealed a lot of new games here too and they kept the pacing tight the whole way. Unfortunately, the ending was weak, but overall, near flawless pacing.I disagree. This conference was hyped up by Gopher himself to overpower last year and it failed to deliver.

Arthur Gies running his mouth on Twitter and downplaying the Sony conference.
Oh lord
I think it's a legitimate complaint. People have often criticize MS for doing the same thing. In this regard they kinda swapped spots this year.
I can't argue that it wasn't a good show. The orchestra was a great touch, the actual stage setup was amazing, and there was a great pacing at the beginning.
But, there's something missing. IMO, there was something absent from everyone. EA, Bethesda, MS, Ubisoft, Sony, everyone ... I can't put my finger on it, but there's a feeling of incompleteness to everything that's gone on.
