Why are people giving fans shit for leaving early? Traffic can get pretty bad...stay to watch your team lose for the sake of it...just so you can waste an extra 30 mins in traffic makes sense now?

Bandwagon fans man, the team comes first. You life is supposed to be put on hold once you step foot in the arena.

I almost left at halftime at the Hawks v Cavs game (last game of regular season) because we were getting spanked and some girls wanted me and a friend to go eat with them elsewhere. I stayed and that game went into overtime but I still would've left. Some people got shit to do lol. Oh yeah, the tickets were free. If I paid, then hell yeah I wouldn't have even questioned leaving at halftime.

Great game, Wizards fan so don't really have a horse in this race, but it would be really entertaining to see it go 7. I don't think gs is a juggernaut, they can lose if they continue to let the momentum swing toward Cleveland.

When is Curry going to put in a Irving type of game where he scoring at will? Dude is underperforming like a mofo.
He's not quick enough laterally to create space. Even his good performances post knee injury aren't typically Steph nights. Yeah, he's had glimpses when his shot is falling but as someone who has seen almost every regular season game he's not 100 percent. Maybe 80 and that extra 20% matters when you're his size and count on lateral quickness. That being said, there are no excuses for his turnovers and other boneheaded plays. So bad.

How many games in history have two teammates scored 40+ each in a single game? Crazy performance from those two tonight.
They both played great. The question is whether they can do that when Green is back there anchoring that defense. GS looks like another team on defense with him. They looked so bad on D that this game just got Green a spot on the All Star team next year.

Also, Kobe/Shaq AVERAGED 60/23 in the 2001 playoffs.

Thompson or Green will get fmvp if warriors win this series.

Seriously Love...he looks so helpless whenever he's on the floor, particularly when he gets the ball. I almost feel bad for him. He just doesn't seem to have the mentality to play in a finals atmosphere, but he was fine getting 20/20 games on t-wolves in the regular season when no one gave a shit.

I'd bet everything I have that they don't average 82 the next 2 games. lol not happening.

Barnes played terribly, but the Warriors could have won this game without him if Steph had played better.

I think so too. In fact there was a point in the 4th where it was a 7 point game and Steph had a wide open 3 that he bricked. If he hits that it could have been a different game.

I think Kerr also kind of cost them this game, that line-up with Curry-Klay-Livingston-Andre-Barnes absolutely sucked ass. He was in a tough spot because of the lack of better options, but that did not work at all.

Kyrie went ham. Plenty of his shots were contested but he fuckballed them

glad to see lebron play with some fucking confidence, kyrie hit some spectacular shots, both dudes basically had the game of their lives - especially kyrie, glad to see the series get extended, even more glad because i have money on cleveland

Lebron having like 28pts at half and 0ast was so refreshing. He can't be looking to pass first the rest of this series. And he only had 2to as a result.

The Cavs might not score 82 if Drammond keeps his focus.

I didn't really see ball movement from the Cavs. It was fuckball to the power of 10, but without Green the help and rim protection just wasn't there. And honestly the defense did not move together as it normally does either.

On to game 6. As an impartial fan I like more games.

Just a hypothetical. Also, if you are the Cavs right now is there any other single player that would fit better on your roster than Klay Thompson?

I don't think CLE has an issue at SG. JR Smith has been hella quiet, but it is in part because Kyrie and LeBron are taking all the shots right now.

The better sort of fit for our roster would be a PF like Paul Millap or Blake Griffin that can shoot a 15' J or even step out for a 3. Or even like a Kenneth Faried, Derrick Favors type that can score on the post reliably. All Love is giving us reliably is rebounds at this point. Any of the above can do that AND give us 15 reliable points a game at a high %. All of the above are dogs.

Why didn't frye play?

I assume it's because he has a ton of trouble dealing with steph/klay in pick and roll situations.

The bench mostly sucked tonight too. Barbosa had a terrible game, McAdoo looked lost, Livingston made several bad decisions, Speights didn't do much, it was just an overall clusterfuck out there.

Agreed. If CLEs game plan is to have Lebron and Kyrie go one on one they will lose. Tonight was a great performance but the odds of them repeating it Thursday are extremely low. Doing it twice is damn near close to zero.

Kevin isn't featured in the offense right now.

And asking him to shoot 75 percent with the limited touches he does get is very unfair.
Kevin is getting a ton of touches fam. He's looking to pass all the time. It's his M.O. If he doesn't hit like his first 3 or 4 shots, he starts getting passive on the offensive side. He's getting touches in the post, pivoting and getting it stolen. He's getting good looks from 3 and missing them.

You can only get so long a leash in the NBA Finals man. And he seems self-checked.

our role players will play better at home. they haven't traveled well, at all. I think it's fair that LBJ and Kyrie took over tonight. Nobody else was going to. Going home I expect them to have to do half as much.

I agree with this. I'm still positive about love than most. I still think he's a good player. Its hard to get into a rhythm when you get limited touches.

Man I hope you're right. I've always been a pessimistic type fan, but I'm feeling pretty nervous about closing this out now. Steph just doesn't have it and Lebron is looking confident as hell.

One thing I'm hoping will improve is the D inside. Our centers are so fucking terrible in pick & roll coverage against Kyrie and Lebron. Hopefully Draymond will be on his A game in that regard. He's been great at holding it down inside and protecting the rim. All the centers tonight were just on skates every time they had to cover any ground on D.

Yep.

Feels bad, but he still has time to redeem himself and prove his worth not only to this team but to any team he may be on next year (because it won't be CLE). We know what he *can* do. He's gone for 30 in these playoffs. But he has a habit of being invisible if he doesn't score 10 in Q1. It's like he has to be pampered. Ain't nobody got time for that. Just disappointing he doesn't seem like a killer. Being around LBJ and Kyrie for 2 years wasn't enough.

He gets enough touches. He just seems...idunno. Too slow? The number of times he gets stripped or throws up an awful shot in the post is depressing. The number of open 3's he misses is distressing.

LeBron needs to get into Draymond's head again and get him to do something stupid

MJ level trash talking
Would be hilarious if he got himself ejected in the process.

Don't see that happening though.

The only team that really got in his head was the Thunder and that was because Adams and company undressed and exposed him repeatedly. Lebron won't get in his head again.

If I was a Warriors fan I would be more worried about Green getting in his own head and trying to do too much. Like I said he has to keep his composure.

Also kind of a shit series for Steph.

Not all touches are created equal. The touches he get are not on the spots that full maximizes his skill set.

Also as zach Lowe pointed out, you can post up love but since the cavs haven't been doing it all season long, Love will be out of rhythm.

Finally talented as the cavs are, it is very difficult to optimize their 3 best players at the same time. I think only a few coaches can do it but certainly not lue at the moment.

I think green is easily the finals mvp.

Yep.

So many people were saying that Iggy is the Lebron stopper, and that it didn't matter that Green was out. Now, a bunch of people are saying who cares about Lebron's effort tonight, there was no Green defending him. lol
