I would love to hear any concrete examples of what constitutes bad pacing in this conference, and good pacing in others.
Bad pacing is usually exemplified with something dragging on too long. In a movie, when every scene drives the plot forward, for example, that's considered good in terms of pacing. Given the fact that the point of a conference is to show off your games, I really don't see how you can provide any salient argument that this one was "badly paced", as opposed to you simply being disinterested.
You might say that they had their "peaks and valleys" wrong, but even then I would have to point you to the fact that their longer gameplay demos were perfectly well spaced out with small batches of shorter trailers along with House and Layden doing their thing.
