E3 2016s "Cringe" Moments

Cringe moments for me are all related to VR...that is all gimmicky and clunky and not ready for mass distribution imo. Who wants to mount a Virtual Boy on their face? Not me. Get the technology smaller and cheaper and try again in 5 or more years manufacturers. Hate to see developers waste resources on this stuff, when they could be making better games on consoles or pc.

Chill out, here, take a candy:

Now would probably be a good time to walk away from the keyboard.

I lost my shit when I caught it live and the look on the poor dude's face after getting his hair rekt. Ahahahah it's the best.

Please tell me you also caught the dude that changed shirts 6 Times before the conference even began. Apparently a gaffer was there and he said that the dude got escorted out by security lol

Holy shit, please tell me this is archived somewhere. Lmao so random. E3 brings out the best in people.

A lot of the OP's video was painful to watch, but the "I really like this jacket" guy was actually pretty good considering what he was dealt. More "awkwardly cute" than cringe-worthy.

It was the preshow with Adam and Morgan.....they would talk a bit....play a trailer and he would change shirts. You can go into the Bethesda thread and see the comments everyone started going nuts over it lol

Ubisoft's was, as always, the cringiest thing I watching this E3.

I can handle some lame scripted bits here and there at a press conference (Minecraft), or occasional goofy stuff (the Trials guys were pretty funny), but Ubisoft's conferences always leave me feeling embarrassed for everyone involved.

The "livestreamed" Sea of Thieves trailer was probably my most "cringe" moment outside of Ubisoft though. For one thing, it barely showed much new stuff than what was originally talked about last year to my knowledge. And the commentary they added to it did nothing to make the game seem better.

Nice, time to go hunting for comments now lol.

Sessler was her co-host for the pre and post-show segments

I didn't know that. I didn't watch Bethesda's thing. I guess I will now for nostalgia's sake.

"Do I look older or just balder?"

"...I wouldn't open that door"

"......."

(from the video ViciousDS posted)

LOL okay, I need to watch this now.

Yeah, that was balls to the wall awful and the "fakest" thing I've ever ever seen.

I just don't even, anymore.

Y'all just cringe too easy. Young people wearing fashionable clothes makes y'all cringe. Lifelike corny banter over a game makes y'all cringe. I'm surprised y'all don't cringe any time anybody is enthusiastic about anything, ever. Or maybe you do. No, you probably do :p

The whole Minecraft demonstration at Microsoft's presser was hard to sit through, and when the Trials of the Blood Dragon folks ran up on stage as weirdly dressed boxers was also kind of cringeworthy @ ubisoft.

Sea of Thieves pandering to Let's Play kiddies and Ubisoft's continual use of cheesy fake chatter continue to be the worst moments. Most everything else in this thread are just awkward moments, Ubisoft's demos are basically Cringe: The Theatrical Play.

God these fanboy posts are even more cringeworthy.

You don't think it was even a LITTLE awkward they they ended on days gone because they clearly cut their show short after removing what was most likely a lengthy Neo segment?

Sony has had 2 hour plus shows for a long time now. They suddenly dropped to an hour this year?

Not everything is some industry conspiracy. Sony finally learned that focusing on games was the best thing to do, and that quality trumps quantity. And what do you know, they had the best conference this year.

Thought the Fractured But Whole presentation was pretty hilarious. Looked to me like they were just messing around, trying to see how many offensive jokes they could slip in.

Cringiest moment for me was Snoop playing Battlefield 1.

Man isn't even trying.

The entire South Park section was literally the best thing about E3. Bunch of PC Principals up in here.

Most cringe moments were:

-Minecraft
-Aisha banter
-Scorpio reveal video
-Crash bait and switch
-Days Gone closer

But worst of all was the EA es section. I still crack up at "Serious Moe"

The shadow-Crash Bandicoot screen effect was a bit too silly for my taste. It leading into a remaster collection, and Skylanders cameo was the cherry ontop of that segment. Sony had some hokey stage effects in general I guess. Like the one where they had a nice effect planned so the ground would "appear" in front of Kojima as he was walking on it, only for Kojima to walk too fast, outpacing the animation.

King of cringe this year though was that moment where they were hyping up this eSports player, only to show him having his arm in a sling because he didn't tie his shoes.

Are you telling me the entirety of E3 2016 can't beat a single skit of Konami 2010 in cringe?
I don't think someone will ever be able to top that one. It was a magical thing of beauty. It felt like the whole thing was prepared 10 minutes in advance on napkins.

Bruh, remember that moment during their demo when they said... The F word?

Fucking hilarious, but it wasn't as funny as the moment later in the demo when they made that zinger of a
sex joke
. Shit had me in stitches, then they said the F word a bunch more times and I was dying!

The true cringe is this comment.

1) the typical ubisoft fake banter

2) the shameful behavior of a number of gaffers who couldn't handle a woman daring to be attractive on camera on treehouse

3) the really uncomfortable EA red carpet thing

Man go easy on him, dude is clearly baked af.

Link me to that thread please, I wanna see haha.

You can find a link to it earlier in this thread. I did so earlier though... I wish I hadn't. Basically the same kind of comments that we had for the past 2 pages. Some people trying to defend and/or making weird creepy comments about Audrey Drake, others calling them out on their BS. Honestly, I'm disappointed its come to this thread b/c I'd prefer iit not derail this thread too.

Start at 48 minutes and 10 seconds........guy in the white shirt in the background next to the girl. Then try to slowly skip forward a bit at a time for the next 15 minutes lol

That was entertaining, although I think by about shirt 4 I felt they were being obnoxious and taking advantage of their position behind Adam and Morgan. Like comon guys at this point you're not here for the press conference you're just here to draw attention to yourselves. Plus you're probably annoying/distracting the people sitting behind you.

that was so fantastic. snoop clearly only moving the left stick around. not cringey at all. Snoop gonna snoop

The fake multiplayer chat in Ghost Recon's demo, the people pretending to play it sounded like they were LARPing.
