We're doomed.

DOOMED.

Is it wrong that I flipped a coin to decide my vote? I'm at least glad I voted.
If you were unsure you should have picked remain because it still allows for a possibility for leaving in the future without changing anything for now, but if you voted leave while being unsure you cast a vote that can change things irreversibly while being unsure about it.

I expected this to be honest, Glasgow was never going to be big remain at all, trust me I live here. Edinburgh is much more likely to be heavily pro EU.
I'm in edinburgh, it seems massively remain here. The number of people with the red-remain stickers about today was surprising.

Hopefully these scarily Leave areas have lower turnout and that explains these early differentials.

If Leave is higher than expected in Sunderland, Newcastle, etc. but the turnouts are lower than expected in those areas, that could balance it out.

Edit: Pound is in free-fall, everybody fucking panic.

Good job it landed on heads and I voted remain :)

Fair enough. But Poland is always free to leave the EU. It basically amounts to dimplomacy through numbers. Now I agree with you that's shitty anyway, but that kind of stuff would probably happen anyway. The EU at least provides mechanisms to resolve these kind of things as opposed to in the past when countries would simply invade each other.

What I'm trying to say is, any large group is going to have fundemental flaws. And I believe all the problems we find in the EU would still exists even if the EU itself never did. However, I do think the EU has done a lot of good that wouldn't have happened without it. That's basically the position I am coming from, and regardless of the result, I will still spout my thoughts on what the best next steps are on here. :P
Heh, no worries. We don't have to agree to respect one another after all :D
One of the reasons I don't judge peeps who vote for whatever I don't is I because I'm always keeping the option of being wrong available. Better not to burn bridges if you find out there's more to something than you first thought after all ;D

That 'diversity' statute still scares the heck out of me though :s
