Balrog is going to be in the Street Fighter V June update on Friday

These prices are insane. $60 game ships incomplete and bare bones as fuck and they want $2 for NIGHT-TIME versions of stages? Btw, how does that work with the DLC stages online? Do you just need to pay to play them local?

Fight money doesn't come easy enough for all this stuff and the battle costumes are $4, regardless. I remember thinking the SF4 costumes were overpriced. I thought DOA 5 Skins were bad!

It's really hard for me to get hype about spending more money on this game. But hey, free story mode I'll play through in a few hours and never again!

Alternate versions of stages can be unlocked for free with Fight Money though. All the characters & their story outfits can be unlocked with FM as well. There are plenty of places to earn a tremendous amount of FM in this game, and each character launched has given a new venue for them through their survival + challenge/trial mode + story prologue.

I've never been a big fan of Balrog the character but this does look to be a good incarnation of the character. It's nice that they could add him to the Ibuki & Story Mode patch.

Not feeling Urien's voice though

nah it looks so cheap its obviously a late change. just zip up the jacket if your gonna do that or at least put some geometry there its just texture painted on the skin model.

They still have time for when the character actually comes out to make final changes though.

Yeah it doesn't look like a natural addition at all - like it was hastily painted on. Capcom shouldn't have half-assed it. Either make an outfit change if you feel you should/need to or don't.

So all new female characters should have awful sexist designs because two characters already released have awful sexist designs? I don't get it.

I mean if you think Juri's design is sexist, how does adding a weird, shiny "undershirt" make it not?

I don't really like them using characters with so little time to practice the match up. But that said I am happy that if they're doing it, then it's a blanket statement and not just Capcom favoritism.

I thought RAAM would be legal anyway, because he released just in time for the 5 week rule.

Damn Balrogs stage and theme is hype. Balrog also looks cool, but charge characters aint my thing really.

Capcom was able to afford Richard Grieco for Ultimate Marvel, so I'm going to say not really.
Again, that's because of Marvel helping with the voice acting budget for their side of the roster in UMvC3. Capcom otherwise goes non-union for their voice actors.

are they adding in those daily challenges for making more fight money with this patch? definitely not going back to survival, colours be damned

If you can't be bothered to play the game enough to unlock some stages why did you buy the game in the first place? Play some trials son.

not to mention all the new fight money probably coming with cinematic story mode

I hope it's a lot, or I won't bother with that, looks boring as fuck.

WHY ISN'T URIEN NAKED

Either V-Trigger or alt costume, for sure.

You can get 80k FM by playing through both the Normal & Extra Modes of the Cinematic Story Mode.

Yup, 80k for normal + hard runs.

Sheeeeeeit.

Two stages.

I'll have to play it.

Somebody has posted the breakdown before because everyone always comes in with this complaint in every SFV thread it is definitely possible to do it. They also gave extra opportunity for FM by having Guile and Alex free during and the story mode will also give you FM and i think you can replay it again to get extra.

The premium costumes cost actual money because Capcom needs to make money somewhere. Some of the costumes, stages, and characters are garbage so you don't have to buy or get everything its all optional really. Dont spend your Fight Money on stupid stuff like titles, player card colors or Ken's premium.

I've been playing the game since launch. Even with the new story modes, there is no where near enough fight money to be earned to buy 6 dlc characters, 22 story mode costumes and all the stages.

I don't want to even talk about alternate colors.

It's easy enough. Play the story modes and do the trials/demonstrations and that's enough for 2-3 characters, I think. I know I got 400k and I barely completed any of the normal and up modes if Survival.

That's good to know. Thanks.

The new Alex voice isn't bad, it's not Francis Diakowsky but it's better than the Japanese voice which is really bad. I never usually say that about seiyuu work but yeah it's bad. Alex is the only character I have set to English.

I still don't know how to pronounce Urien

The costumes are still way over priced as $4. Come on,$4? Didn't Capcom make money when people bought the game? Or the Season Pass?

And yeah, it's all optional. But they game did not provide a $60 value when I bought it at launch. Give me Arcade Mode over Story Mode, thanks.

Not gonna argue that there is definitely way more content to purchase than there is FM we can get in the game in non-competitive means. But we still have the daily challenges that are still coming. I'm just glad there is a way for me to just buy whatever I want out of this content pack (although the season pass already took care of 6 chars & 6 premium alts for me).

I have. $2 a skin or something like $13 for 12. Versus $4 a skin in SF5.

At least DOA5 gives you a ton of skins on the disc. And more characters, too. And stages that have real transitions.

I'm only getting the Season Pass and some story costumes and alt. stages for the time being. I fully expect bundles and discounts on premium costumes somewhere down the line as I'm not paying $4 for each.

As stated before, Capcom would be better off just retrofitting the Character Stories to be like Arcade Mode than making an entirely separate Arcade Mode seeing as it would be faster to accomplish & wouldn't require them to make entirely new endings. That is, unless Capcom wants to recast Rainbow Mika in English.

Maan that was the hypest trailer I've seen in a while. I may be spending money on this as I haven't been playing a lot and I don't have much fight money. Balrog looks good. Urien and Juri models look good.

Balrog's stage is so good. Wish I could hear the music, but I don't mind the sound of the audience. I'll have plenty of time to hear that music. I gotta find that stream, I hope someone there got a live reaction from the audience. I love the FGC energty.

Tekken 7's premium customizations are $3 USD (per part) and are sold as randomized lotto tickets (so you cannot pick which one).

They are revising the item system for FR but I don't know if premium items will still be random like it was before. We will find out July 5.

Juri's new outfit looks better than it did in Cammy's ending.

It looks way better in game..... don't get the complaints.... and she'll be showing skin anyway in her story and/or premium alts.

Most of the premium alts look like absolute garbage, really only a couple that look decent outside of the pre order bonus 4..... As things stand now Battle Cammy alt is the only one I'm going to buy... and that's because she's my main and it's actually good....

What about Birdie, Cammy, Vega, & Rashid?

The biggest problem with alt costume is doing Survival for all of the Colors. Not a good idea.

Old good times when you played the game times and times and just unlocked this shit and have the feeling of accomplishment when you have nothing more to get ...
