July 1st is a holiday for us (Canada Day) so the update is just in time, can't wait.
Balrog looks cool but doesn't look very exciting compared to the potential Nelson has from KOFXIV.
Super hyped for Ibuki, she will be the first DLC character I spend FM on.
Wasn't a fan of what Juri looked like in IV and didn't think much of her gameplay there but she looks very cool in V, great redesign. Hopefully her play style got a nice refresh too.

Juri looks ridiculously good visually, her model just seems a step or two above anyone else. Probably gonna be the only season 1 character I'm getting, tried to get into her in SF4, but couldn't really wrap my head around doing combo's while keeping fireballs charged. Hopefully this aspect isn't part of her kit in SF5, and instead she just does crazy shit.

I'm surprised at all the "good job, Capcom" comments. The only thing they've potentially moved up is Balrog, as he's not releasing at the end of July. Ibuki and the story mode update were both delayed. I usually cut Capcom slack for their mistakes. But they haven't done anything particularly praiseworthy with this outside of releasing Balrog earlier than anticipated and giving a early gameplay preview of the last two DLC characters.

To be fair they have been trying to change all the characters default costumes and there is little they can do with his thong (I think). I really want to use thong Urien, his new look isn't bad but it doesn't feel like the Urien I know.

I give credit where it's due. Capcom may have missed out on the June update (by only one day) but the fact that we are getting Balrog very early, Ibuki, story mode, this stage, matchmaking and netcode improvements, etc more than makes up for it.
I give them some credit for Balrog. They are late with Ibuki, the Story update was due and matchmaking/netcode was long overdue.
The edit to Juri looks awful and makes no sense. If you wanted to show her with some skin, just do it and own it. Same with Urien or anyone else. Got Juri with black texture skin and boobs while Laura's underboobs jiggle away, Cammy's suit is painted on, R. Mika is R. Mika and even her new costume pushes her breasts out, and so on. Just own it and love it.
Maybe she's just not done finished or they are changing their mind. All I know is Urien better be damn near naked and glorious at some point when he releases! =P
All of that said, looking forward to getting back into the game soon.

Ibuki and story mode were both delayed, and the stage is exclusive to season pass owners. Improvements to online is good, and I actually missed that, but it was something people have been asking a very long time for. Most of the "good job" comments seem to be about this trailer. Overall I find it a little odd considering a few days ago there was a thread that was basically about how poorly people felt Capcom was handling SFV as a whole.
It's a bit much to criticise them of releasing on the 1st of July when we were expecting the end of June. All the patting Capcom's back is due to releasing new character trailer at a premier event and actually communicating with the audience, the Guile reveal was a step in the right direction after the Alex debacle when fans made character trailers before Capcom's official one, and then the whole silence after that with Ibuki where we were told no Ibuki in May on May 28th or later.
It does look like Capcom have their shit together, but I'm waiting until they can do it consistantly.
