No, it's definitely not a choice. It's clear his workload is insane and he doesn't have the chops to work that quickly and that loose. Proportions are all over the place and he is making anatomical sins left and right.

This got me curious, so I went ahead and checked the art compendium. I'm actually impressed by how much story they managed to tell with the sparse amount of art in vanilla Skullgirls. They really kicked it up a couple of notches with the DLC characters, though. Most of the DLC character story art has got two or three times the amount of work/images compared to vanilla character art. It walks a nice line between SFV's looser story art and BlazBlue's super clean art. The sort of painterly backgrounds in Big Band and Eliza's story modes were fantastic artistic directions to go in imo (my very uninformed opinion).

It's more like just above ankle area, but there's a distinct difference between where your feet hit the water and the stage floor. It'll be a major problem for Tournaments.

This looks really good, but I'm not sure it fits her character. She seems like the modest type as far as showing skin, so I'd have thought this to be the time to cover someone up. It makes sense for her. Maybe the bikini with a waist wrap or something of that nature. Instead, they hide the tits of a character that has zero qualms with showing some of her assets and put Karin on display.
I love the hat though.

I'm just talking about her fighting attire. She even has on shorts underneath one of her costumes doesn't she? All of it is extremely covered compared to everyone else's, isn't it? Was it not like this in Alpha? I really didn't play that game much since I hated it.
I just wish the majority of the update didn't consist of content I have to pay for. I might play Story mode two times for the Fight Money, that's it. Since Alex and Guile were temporarily free, we still have to get them, too. I don't have 400k Fight Money for 4 characters, let alone for the stages and story mode costumes.
I also don't want to buy the Season Pass, the game is not worth $90.

But given its nature as a fighting game, you don't actually have to buy anything to take advantage of it. I have 0 interest in playing Balrog, and won't even consider buying him, but fighting against him is something I'm very much looking forward to.

There isn't a modest bone in the body of a girl that laughs like a real Oujo-sama. Her bikini look fits her profile as a rich girl for reasons I'll explain below. Makes more sense than a British spy that runs around in a leotard or whatever it is that Chun Li wears on the job.
I think he is confusing modesty with a sense of continuity and stability in her design.
Her character is supposed to be all about high class style more than modesty and it shows in the frills, drill hair, the expensive looking attire, her behavior and her butler(s)/lifestyle. Unlike some other Street Fighters Capcom has actually done a good job of updating her original aesthetic/persona, so she really stands out compared to the cast in that regard. On the other hand that doesn't stop her from wearing a bikini or tussling with hobos/martial artists and fake wrestlers. Her beach alt has got quite few accessories (many of which are probably expensive) and her hat/glasses look like something a pale rich girl would wear for sun protection. It's subtle and she walks a fine line, but her character remains intact.
I still think a skirt would fit her character better. Not because I can't imagine Karin showing any skin, but just because it would look classier, imo.

Has this ever actually been displayed though? She is certainly confident, and definitely elitist. Karin is better than everyone else because of status, ability, lineage, etc... so I get that. She just doesn't seem like the type to show too much skin because she she is "above that".
That what I always felt anyway. I have no idea what her actual story is though.

Her new outfit is dumb, even by SF standards. At least cut the heel out so it looks like strirrup pants. Having just the toes out is odd.
I liked her SF4 one better, because it still kinda looked classic SF-ish due to the pants.

Japanese Urien sounds good, but they need to apply a filter to make his voice sound similar to whatever it was they used on his 3S voice. Japanese Urien better yell "Crush! Kill! Destroy!" too or I'll be disappointed.
