Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I hope Halo Reach gets another pass. Getting that game running with a better framerate than 360 would be amazing.

It definitely will. It's a high profile game with a lot to test though, so it may take a while. But it seems like MS's is slowly updating everything they can to the more recent emulator builds (~75% of my games have been updated in the last month) and even Borderlands, which was last updated around the same time as Reach, recently got pushed to one of the newer builds.

I'm trying to buy Spelunky, but the store page says it's "bundle only" and when I click that button it says "we didn't find anything".

I wanna play Spelunky :(

Edit : Nevermind, I found a work around :)

I hope Crackdown 3 getting delayed doesn't mean they're holding back the first 2 games too so that they can offer them as bonuses.

I don't think they will. That said, it may still be a while. I imagine Crackdown games are abnormally CPU heavy, so they'll be difficult to get running perfectly at full speed.

They can take as long as they want with a game like Crackdown 3, however it would be nice to have 1 and 2 just stagger them both before the third instalment to tide us over.

Did they ever manage to make Nuts and Bolts playable? it's astonishing to me how that game was so bad to play but RDR runs better than it did orginally.

Yeah, that's probably true. I could just play them on the 360, but being an original model (once repaired for RROD), it sounds like a jet is attempting take off every time I power it on. Would be nice to have it on the XB1 which is the opposite sound-wise.

What was it? I'm having the same issue with Sega Vintage Collection.

This and the Sonic Genesis games are unplayable for me.

I haven't tried Nuts&Bolts, but Sonic 3 seems okay to me. Sonic CD also plays well. Last week I bought Metal Slug 3/XX, Samurai Showdown 2 and Garou Mark of the Wolves. Do they all perform well? I only tried Metal Slug 3 and it seemed okay.

Sonic 3 is god awful, it seems to take an eternity to jump after pressing the button. not the TV either, GC Mega Collection works fine.

Um. Ok. I tell ya. I really think some of the games that were going to come out have now been blocked by the publishers. They see nothing but remaster money. It's gonna be tough, but i'm going to stick to my guns and not buy any of these remasters anymore. No Bioshock collection. No Darksiders. No Dead Rising 1 and 2. I'll just voice my opinion with my wallet. I know i'm just one person and won't make a difference, but I will make sure they don't get my money twice for the same damn game.

I understand some of these games may or may not have been on all platforms originally and it gives those platforms access now. I get that, but why not offer BC as well as the new collections/remasters?

Below is oneida's real reaction to this batch of games.

They should be pushed out ASAP, rather than a bunch of tiny titles no one has heard of. Considering they have said the only issue is getting publishers' OK.

I mean where is Fable Anniversary? The other ones are BC.
And what makes you think that currently unreleased games are even ready to begin with? Or that they have unlimited resources to test every game game constantly and finish testing instantly?

They probably want to stretch it out over the life of XB1, so they can keep the feature in the news.

Not only that, a game like Fable probably needs a lot of testing for all the different paths.

Not any more testing than the more complex 2 and 3 did. Or you know, Fallout 3 which is probably the most complex BC game.

Odds of Marble Blast Ultra are almost nothing I'm guessing?

From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marble_Blast_Ultra
On February 12, 2011 Marble Blast Ultra was delisted from the Xbox Live Arcade service. GarageGames, now a subsidiary of Graham Software Development, retained the rights to the Torque Engine which powers Marble Blast Ultra, but not the rights to the game. Game rights are property of InstantAction Holdings. GarageGames CEO Eric Preisz said that it was "unlikely" that the studio would reacquire the rights to its games.[2]

Now I want "Alice: Madness Returns" to become bc.

I want to know why EA hasn't added a 360 game for BC in a long time....
I thought for sure they'd be puttin' multiple games up monthly as a way to incentivize its EA Access program.

But its like they put the brakes on, instead.

2009 sports game...

FINALLY! I bought an Xbox one for this.
Next on my list are the Burger King games followed by the mega hit, Barbie Horse-Riding Adventure.

Queue the "you guys just don't get it comments." Please, go on. Convince us that this is what people want. We're listening I swear ;)

You have my vote as well. Especially if the Bioshock series doesn't come at all to BC... That would be a dick move by Take Two, even after giving us RDR.
