Flyers club source tells CSNPhilly.com decision just made: Gagne is in the lineup tonight

:) I just want to see a good game, preferably with a flyers W so I can watch some more good games.
And Stuart is back for the Bruins. It's impressive what they've been able to do so far without two of their top d-men (Stuart and Seidenberg).

Honestly, seriously. Too many Habs fans in this thread. Like I hope Habs gets eliminated and and just outright embarrassed in the last 2 games.

Come on Penguins!

Honestly, Habs are just fucking lucky they even have the series tied, I honestly think they couldn't have even made it this far without Halak. Thier team in general sucks.

Penguins and Crosby and co, please do not dissapoint. Just kill the Habs and get rid of em' and as soon as that happens, this thread will be a lot more bearable and normal. All this so call Habs fans that I've never ever heard or seen of in this thread are showing up.

Yeah the next 15 years probably won't be as good to them as the past 15 were, but they still have a great core of players with many good years left in them, some great talent coming up, and maybe the best management in the league. They'll continue to be a good team for many years. For example, next season they'll most likely be a lot better than they were this year.

I agree--they'll be fine, especially with Hudler returning next year and having some decent cap space. Holmstrom is already on the record saying he'll take a pay cut to stay in Detroit. Not sure about Lidstrom, though. Either way, get another pure goal-scorer and this team will be right where they were last year.

Markov accompanied the team to Pittsburgh.

Oh and look, Gomer stuffing his face in the back!

Anyone think Philly will be able to squeeze a W in tonight? I'm hoping the Bruins sweep those bastards, so if Montreal wins (BELIEVE!)..

And then if Chicago wins the series with Detroit being the third team in history to comeback from an 0-3 deficit(BELIEVE!) then ..

Then FOUR of the original six in the CF..(BELIEVE!)

:lol :lol :lol

if you are a Bruins fan, the last thing you want is to face to the Habs even if they are 8th seed.

even if they are only 5 hours away by car

1- Halak is part of the team just like Crosby is part of his team. Would the Pens be as good without him? No. Why should it be different when the star player is a goalie?

2- :lol @ The Little Boys Club Invasion Of The Mean Outsiders. Are you 12?

Hopefully they keep winning to annoy people like you. Obviously Halak has been huge, but they are playing as a team and playing with a lot of heart.

I am a Habs hater and they are impressing me, this 2010 team has improved greatly than the teams of yesteryears

I am rooting for Flyers but anything that annoys Crosby is an entertaining thing and I just love how Kirk Muller got his troops to frustrate the shit out of Crosby to the point where it hinders his performance

good one, cause the penguins have looked so scary so far, even if they win, theirs absolutely nothing that they have done this series, that has looked like a stanley cup team.

at least habs are working their ass' off to win. it takes heart, not talent.

You've only been here since the Habs made things interesting, so what would you know!

He's a Leafs fan with an extreme hard-on for Crosby. I remember last playoffs when he was trolling anyone who was hating on Crosby.

Just that there are plenty more than a couple bitter Leaf fans here and Fortunate Son is such because he likes the Pens, not because he likes the Leafs. Possibly a mixture of the two!

Canucks fans or NHL GAF want to chime in on this opinion piece?

http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=378724

It's been the opinion here for months that Team Canada won in spite of Roberto Luongo, not because of him.

That judgment hasn't been very popular among our neighbors to the North, but as was pointed out before the Blackhawks took on the Canucks in this series, Luongo has been dishing out rebounds going all the way back to the Olympics, when he got much more credit than he deserved for Canada's gold medal victory.

"The waiter" was terrible in the Los Angeles series, and he was even worse Wednesday night in Game 3, serving up a Chicago victory on a blue and green platter.

The Hawks scored their first 4 goals on juicy rebounds, three of which your grandmother wouldn't have given up, and Luongo gift-wrapped for them a 5-2 victory and a 2-1 series lead.

While Antti Niemi was good, Luongo was brutal and this series will be over quickly if he doesn't figure out how to catch a puck or smother a rebound, and right now all the Hawks have to do is just keep throwing it at him - because he can't stop a beach ball.

More at the above link. He basically states Luongo is terrible at scooping up a shot at his mid section. So the Hawks just need to keep taking shots there and then crashing the net to get easy slop up goals. Says this series is all but over if Vancouver can't correct this issue.

They won the gold medal "in spite of Luongo"? Huh?

"Terrible" in the LA series? He was only bad in game 3. Average for much of it and great in the last two games.

Against Chicago, he was excellent in games 1 and 2, but clearly had a problem with rebounds in game 3. Either because of the hard shots or because he was intimidated by getting rushed. He absorbed everything before game 3. Yeah, he needs to be better, but that opinion piece is pretty far off the mark otherwise.

Have you watched any games yet, Bob?

My hats off to the Bruins. You guys have such a good team. I'm giving up on hoping Philly can overcome you and make it to the third round. I think the Bruins will be making it to the Cup final, but I see Vancouver, Chicago, and San Jose all capable defeating Boston for the Cup.

Stay positive, nourali... stay positive. Kessel trade means there will be a great rivalry between Boston and Toronto for years. Stay positive...

And you know what, I don't even care that Habs are supposed to be the Leafs rival. I think I'll be cheering for the Habs against the Pens because a Montreal-Bruins conference final matchup would be fucking epic.

Most goalies have rough games in a series, see Halak game 1 vs. Pens. I imagine Luongo will bounce back, but those rebounds were awful.

Fixed

Halak was good in game 2, it was game one he wasn't there at all (and most of the Habs D-men). Had Montreal played a better PK, the outcome of the first game would have been vastly different. 4 goals in 4 was atrociously bad.

No one gives a fuck about the Leafs, it's all about Boston

why is "It's over 9000" such a popular meme? what they did with oprah was terrific, yeah, but otherwise i don't really understand. just because the original source was so ridiculous?

Indeed. Anyone who disagrees needs to turn in their "hockey fan" membership card immediately. The last time the two teams met in such an important series were the Cup Finals in the late 70's.

Tonight will be the toughest challenge for the Bruins so far in the playoffs, so hopefully they can put together a complete game and close things out early. Completing a sweep on the road is so damn hard to do, though, so I'm somewhat skeptical. If they win tonight, they'll surpass their longest winning streak of the regular season (a whopping four games). :lol

I didn't go to either of the games at the Garden this series, so this is the first time I'm seeing this:

Yeah, I don't think you got my point.

I dont think that they won in spite of him but neither did they win because of him. He was great game 1 and 2 and not so good last game. The next 2
;)
games will be very important for his reputation, and they should be.

Vatstep: Yeah you are right, the playoffs was probably a big factor in the harrassments of Alucard. And about the possible Montreal-Boston ECF, it would be nice but i wouldnt say no to Pens-Flyers either, but no thanks to the rest of the matchups.
