We're talking about seasonal items. Odds are the same thing is going to happen when Halloween or Christmas rolls around. Even Rocket League has seasonal items that you have no way of purchasing directly and can't earn outside of a set window of time.

Absolute, utter horseshit.
I spent £100 on lootboxes a while back, and that purchase is now objectively worth less than somebody else who spends that same amount now, as I can't use my excess coins to get these Summer skins.
This is inexcusable, and a slap in the face to people who were willing to further support the game right off the bat by purchasing lootboxes.
I really regret my purchases now, and I sure as fuck won't be buying any more ever again.
I had no problem with being a whale, but I don't expect to be fucking punished for it.
I'm going to contact Blizzard support; even though I expect I'll get nothing out of it, I'm certainly going to register my dissatisfaction, and I hope others do the same.
I hope they realise they fucked up, and allow us to buy these skins/sprays/etc with the in-game currency.

Fuck the loot system in this game, it is pure garbage. My summer item in my free loot box was a spray for a character I have literally played for 3 minutes out of 40 hours. My second crate got me another spray for another character I don't play. The other six items were two duplicate player icons, a voice line, a duplicate spray and a duplicate skin for a character I never play.
Level 51 and have received 37 out of over 220 skins and yet my LAST 4 SKINS have all been been duplicates. Thanks for the 15 Gold that can't buy shit, though. Fuck off, Blizzard.

outside of the initial purchase of the game itself I haven't spent any real world $$ on anything I've gotten in the game, and I feel like if I open this box... I won't stop! u__u

Lucio is missing the helmet and pads, but he does have the dreads look which is a popular hairstyle among Football players.
What a shame. At least keep those. The game can only benefit from more variety to its game modes.

The only decent new things I got from my boxes was the bicycle kick highlight intro for Lucio and the Summer Games skin for Genji. I did however get both Young Hanzo AND Genji as well as 500 gold but I hardly touch those characters.
These will be the first and last loot boxes I purchase methinks.

Why should it matter, they're all just post-release cosmetics. They need some way to get more people to buy loot boxes, why not lock away all of Ana's cosmetics?
Why does "seasonal" also get rid of "buy with in-game credits"? It would be reasonable-ish if you could buy the stuff with credits within the twenty days.

Glad I got a player emblem and sprays for the free summer box. The RNG in this game is unbearable. I literally haven't gotten a single purple or yellow drop except for Captain Amari and I am in the high 30s.
