Take your bets!

... will the PC version have a FOV slider? I hate that I'm so cynical I don't think it will...

Already confirmed earlier:

Guys. The Gek.
I think they're bad guys. They call themselves the First Spawn. They say, LOOK UPON OUR WORKS AND DESPAIR.

also I could seek help with the language

It works the same for every planet "status effect" if you will. And on that note, every planet seems to have one. I've seen toxic, radiation, and freezing so far. One planet had the freezing only at night.

There are pleasant planets out there.

Just a lot are hostile.

Braindead Sony marketing sent me an email yesterday with the topic "No Man's Sky is ready to take off". Well, it might be, Sony, as it it's installed, patched and eagerly awaited for a test drive. But you are holding it hostage for another 18 hours before it is allowed to be driven out of the garage, damn you!! XD

don't quite get how to redeem the pre order ship

get an inventory menu open but can't see how to transfer things?

I keep wandering farther and farther from my ship, I keep seeing new things I wanna check out for stuff. Found some upgrades already. But damn, my starter planet is out to cook me alive. It hit night and the temp dropped, thank god.

This heridium stuff seems to be very elusive wherever I am. Gonna be a rough start. It's a really barren planet lifewise too but has lots of bot activity and loads of trading traffic.

The sentinels kept checking me out and scanning me and went on their merry way, but I apparently crossed a line was taking to many resources for their liking, lol. One more shot:

Very cool game.

I had trouble at first finding that resource as well. But as you get deeper into the game you start to memorize what plant or formation is what resource, so it can be easy to find with some exploring!

Got stuck in a cave, so I said fuck it and let some shitty monster kill me.

Some of the design elements need to be explained to the player beyond trial and error.

That's a punch in the crotch - my opening planet is irradiated, and it seems to chew through my suit every 90 seconds or so, so I have to keep running back to my ship to recharge. Probably not going to discover much here before bailing to literally greener pastures.

ETA: So greener pastures do not exist - or at least, every planet I've found so far fucks you up. But, didn't realize resources help restore what ails ya.

Lmao I'm already stuck in a cave and can't find a way out and since it's early game I can't exactly create my own exit. Fucking beautiful. It had like one entrance and I can't find it now.

My opening planet immediately had five sentinels that started attacking me when I tried to mine next to my ship. I had to escape by falling off a cliff into a basin that I could not get out of. My game runs like shit and the aiming is Killzone 2 levels of sluggish.

Gonna try restarting I guess, if you can do that?

Lol same here, I can only leave my ship at night because the planet is too warm, having to put a lot of thought in there!

The same thing happened (sluggish) for me, I restarted and it was better.

Runs like shit? In what way? In the DF report they said they went to 18 planets and all of them were pretty much locked at 30fps when on foot...

Also, is there no analog sensitivity option in this game?

Looks like I'm not the only one with an irridiated starter planet lol. Looks great despite though, interesting plants and life forms there. Can't wait to get back to it after work tomorrow. It's gonna be a long day lol

It might be a frame timing/pacing thing but my game does not feel consistent at all.

Sensitivity isn't really the issue, it's latency/acceleration.

Ugh.....I hope not
That's what turned me off of killzone2

I'll be reading this thread all day tomorrow before putting down money I guess.

Just took off, god damn. This is cooler than I thought. Flew around my starter planet before leaving, decided to name it Eredar since from the air it was all red and green (looked all fel and stuff to me).

Difference between the pre patch game and now are great. Even if I had better planets before the patch and me starting over. Alot more dead planets this time.
