By the way a Boy and his Blob has a Wii physical release. In PAL at least !Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition
A Boy and His Blob
Don't Starve
Grim Fandango Remastered
Hatoful Boyfriend
These are my best guesses.
It's in NA too.By the way a Boy and his Blob has a Wii physical release. In PAL at least !
I always find replies like that so confusing. Does he mean he was wrong in that someone guessed it and he missed it? Or that someone has guessed it since his last post? Haha
If it's the latter, we've got it down to:
Spelunky
Another World
A Boy and his Blob
Don't Starve
Grim Fandango
Hatoful Boyfriend
Broken Age
Starbound
Stardew Valley
Day of the Tentacle
Of those, the most likely (to me) to have a big print run are any of the Double Fine Games or Spelunky. I do seriously wonder if legal hurdles would be the likely to prevent a Grim Fandango/Day of the Tentacle run, but I hope not.
When I said no one had guessed it I was wrong someone had.
When I said no one had guessed it I was wrong someone had.
Hey I was wrong, someone had guessed it!
Also we got Shadow Complex copies in today! YAY!
When I said no one had guessed it I was wrong someone had.
Wait, why are we at square one.
Now we know it's at least one of the mentioned titles.
Bugger. Well you've just blown the doors wide open then and we're back to square one!
Any guess after post 6697Since what point? What was the cutoff?
Any guess after post 6697
Does that mean only guesses from NeoGAF as well?
Context makes it look like yes.Does that mean only guesses from NeoGAF as well?
I think Skullgirls would make the most sense with the phrase 'dedicated fans'. Being part of a fighting game community can take a lot of dedication. Then I keep my Skullgirls guess from weeks ago.
Interesting. I think that does make it less likely, but some parts of that article make it still sound feasible:They are waiting for the final patch for Skullgirls before doing any physical release. Possible, but not likely.
http://skullgirls.com/2016/08/console-lobbies-patch-progress-update/
At first I though specifically mentioning limited made it seem like it could be LRG. I know they were already working with another publisher for Indivisible though, so it'd make more sense to go with them for SG. They might also be wanting to have physical for their other platforms too. The way the timetable sounds though, I dunno if they would have already reached agreements for # of copies etc.We dont have a projected release date for the patch, but lobby functionality is already undergoing preliminary internal testing. It should be noted, however, that in the case of the PS Family patches PS3, PS4, and PS Vita the submission and testing process spans 3 platforms x 3 territories x 3 publishers, which is a significant logistical ordeal, and might result in delays.
...
Finally, once the lobbies patch has been released on all consoles, we plan to look into producing a limited batch of English physical copies of Skullgirls 2nd Encore so that those outside of Japan will have a chance to add the game to their shelf at home.
Once we have entered the patch submission process we will let everyone know on the usual social media channels. Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@Skullgirls) and on Facebook for the latest news!
A physical copy of Limbo would be AMAZING! I love that game. By the time I reached the end I knew I had played something special.
If not that, Guacamelee or Volume would be pretty cool.
I almost imported it recently, guess I'll wait a little more thenInteresting. I think that does make it less likely, but some parts of that article make it still sound feasible:

I wouldn't be enthusiasted by a Limbo release, AT ALL. It has been physically released twice already :
- There's a PC DRM Free physical release
- And I own an Xbox 360 version already

Yeah, those are useless for people who'd want a PS4/Vita physical copy. You know, the platforms LRG is known to release games on.
...
Yes, I know the platforms LRG is known to release games on, thanks.
But I thought the entire point was to release physically games that had never been. Not to fuel the console war.
I pointed to the fact people who really want Limbo can already buy it on two different platforms (for cheap). Now, I wouldn't be enthusiastic about a PS4/Vita release, and I sure wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't throw a tantrum over it either. I'd just hope it doesn't get the norm to rerelease already available games.
To me it would be as vain as releasing one of these Asian-regionfree-english-language games.

Agreed. I also think Limbo is quite boring and doesn't have any replay value, so I kind of doubt that it would move 15k copies. My personal favorite from the list would probably be Axiom Verge or Banner Saga.
lol, not sure where you're getting it your head that this is about console wars.
This IS about getting physical games that never got one, and Limbo VIta/PS4 nerer got one. Simple as that. Saying that it's already available physically on another console and that I should presumably get that if I wanted a PS4/Vita physical copy is idiotic.
There is a reason that games such as Atelier is in so high a demand even though they have PS3/PS4 physical copies. People enjoy owning physical copies for systems they like to play it on.
Here you go man.

No longer do you have to wish for a physical copy of Banner Saga ;D
The Banner Saga PC release has already been brought to our attention, and as far as we know it is NOT DRM free.
As for Atelier, I'm guessing people are asking for the Plus versions, which may or may not have been physically released in don't know (?)
I'm sorry, but saying "People enjoy owning physical copies for systems they like to play it on" is actually close to saying "PS4/Vita Master Race", which is super dumb (or idiotic, to use your words) to me but whatever. Following your logic, LRG should release every PS1 classic games physically... as well as the digital PS2 games... not gonna happen.
If you want to play a PS1 classic, then download the game. If you want to collect it, then buy the PS1 disc.
Same for Limbo. If you want to play it, download it. If you want to collect it, then buy the freaking 15$ Xbox360 disc.
lolol, Vita Master Race?
And your last statement contradicts your first two. What does DRM or plus versions matter when you're saying that you should buy them digitally to play and physically to collect?
what a bunch of nonsense. I don't understand why you have to bring this up again and again.I'm sorry, but saying "People enjoy owning physical copies for systems they like to play it on" is actually close to saying "PS4/Vita Master Race", which is super dumb (or idiotic, to use your words) to me but whatever. People who collect Vita games want their games on Vita carts. Period. A 360 or PC release is utterly worthless to them. It's great that you don't care, but there is nothing inherently wrong with releasing a game like that again
Not ever release has to be FOR YOU. It's totally okay to ignore a LRG release and skip it. At the same time you can be happy that other collectors get something they want, but you seem incapable of thinking like that.
I'm sorry if my reply is harsh but this isn't the first time you started an argument like this and it's getting a bit old.
I wouldn't throw a tantrum, I'd just be disappointed once and wouldn't buy these rereleases. I perfectly understand why you or Tapejara would buy them, I just happen to think there are countless indie games which have never (for real) been physically released and that LRG should think about them first before dispersing their energy.
Why does it even matter if some of LRG's releases end up being games with physical copies on other platforms, or games with English Asian versions? They have so many games in the pipeline, it's not like LRG is going to stop doing what they normally do. It's such a non issue to me.
Agreed. People have different preferences, but I think all/most of us here in this thread have one thing in common, that we want physical versions of these games.Erm, saying "People enjoy owning physical copies for systems they like to play it on" doesn't mean PS4/Vita master race.
It means some people don't prefer the systems they may or may not have already been released on so there is a valid reason for wanting Limbo physically on another platform.

I'd rather not have games that were already available in Asia/Japan with a physical english run, but that's something LRG can't really control either.
There's also a lot of people who either don't know those releases exist or aren't interested in keeping up with an R3 extended collection (seems like it can get expensive and hard to keep track of). We'd definitely jump on the opportunity to do releases of Digimon Cyber Sleuth or Gundam Breaker 3, for example. I think there is a huge market for those games that either don't know about or don't want to pay the premium for the Asia releases.

Having an actual Western release would probably get something like Cyber Sleuth more attention, but I don't think price would change at all for people who are on the fence because it costs too much to import. It's still a $40 release digitally so I would assume it would be $50 coming from you guys and then it's $5 shipped to the US and however much to other countries. At this point the only people I see who haven't bought it physically on Vita, are those who are waiting for the price to drop, not those who want a Western release of it at the same price.
I only collect NA and I think they definitely fit in.Can the LRG set fit a NA collection? They're not rated by the ESRB and it's region-free.
