Dragon Quest VII and Trails of Cold Steel II, both of which should be very much of interest to anyone who likes JRPGs. Plus Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse if you want more of a dungeon-crawler.
Please, don't delay KH II.8, Square.
NOMURA, PLS!
Hmm, how far in advance of release does a game typically go Gold? Like if the 11/29 date is true, when would we expect them to start getting the discs all ready or what have you?
A month before the release more or less.
Is FFXV really competing with Pokemon?
But the proportion of people buying it on PS4 is gonna be substantially higher anyway. S-E knows this. This should also remind people that FFXV is not a PS4 exclusive game. See, there's the Xbox One logo too?So all the "It's because of the Neo" talk is stupid. They wouldn't delay a multi platform game (and one that had it's release date announced on the biggest release day announcement event ever) just for the Neo patch. Also, how many would even play FFXV on Neo compared to the other consoles? Like 3-5% Even that sounds very optimistic.
Having said that...that rumor could still be true...but I hope not.![]()

BTW if it is true, it's good news for everyone (except maybe Square's business people). There are SO MANY games in September already, including some massive JRPGs, and there have been all sorts of rumors about FFXV being in rough shape. By the end of the year nobody will care whether it came out in September or November - they'll care whether it manages to keep a decent framerate and camera.
Does world of FF have a date?
You can take Jason's word to the bank going off by my time here on Gaf. I guess I'll expect the confirmation of the delay sometime next week.. Smh I'll be at Times Square for the premiere of Kingsgliave.
Why wouldn't they be in the original game and require quests or farming like every other final fantasy games' ultimate weapons?I mean, why would you want better weapons to make fights easier? It's not a lot different than offering DLC with better things to people that may not care about the challenge per se. And the game was designed around only controlling Noctis. That extra stuff is... extra stuff.
I really do not like comments like this. Which massive JRPG's? Persona 5? Wait a minute that comes out next year, in English. There are no other games I was interested in except this.
Anyway, I have a feeling it's been delayed. Not happy at all.
I can't believe Reyes didn't do this yet.
here you go buddy

All this trailer-investigative work to find a bunch of nothing lol
Guys, relax.
Yep I'm gonna play the hell out of all of those (minus P5). Plus a new Destiny raid, and then plenty of other big games in October and early November. There is no shortage of new stuff to play, which is just one of the reasons a delay would not be bad news if it's true. There are a lot of Japanese games coming next month actually:
- Ace Attorney 6
- Psycho-Pass
- Steins;gate 0
- Persona 5 (JP)
Thanks man, but hopefully is for the best. Guess I'll get that goty tw3 to kill time for now.
If it releases on Nov 29th will it even chart in the November NPD![]()

Completely disagree. This game is going to live or die based on its western sales and this date sends it to die against the biggest games of the year and after the biggest sales day in America.

In the end it would be for the better. But goddamnit I was ready for this. 10 years revealed. Big uncovered event. Goddamnit.
It wasn't going to set the world on fire next month either. Hype is non-existent outside of established fans and half of those people are skeptical themselves.

These two in particular are far more relevant to my interests than FFXV at this point. Won't be paying full price for the latter, though (didn't do so for the original SMT IV either, and it came with much nicer bonuses with its launch edition when I did pick it up).Dragon Quest VII and Trails of Cold Steel II, both of which should be very much of interest to anyone who likes JRPGs. True! Will still be sad to see a mainline FF not tale the number 1 spot for the month of release!Considering how its based on revenue not and not sales expect it to be littered with Minecraft and GTA.

I think it's because of polish and optimization more than anything, but I think there is a certain benefit if they try to market it as something to push PS4 Neo. Most people might not experience that, but that would mean that at launch, consumers could have access to a version of the game that would be really amazing visually. It would allow them to market and hype up the game's visuals while having a real product to back that up.
