About the Part that nothing interacts with nothing on the planets: i saw a wannabe t-rex hunting and killing another animal. He didnt eat it though
Yeah, I discovered a rocky planet with almost no flora but lots of animals, and some small raptor-ish assholes ran alone straight into big groups of another cow-like species (they were about 8 or 10) and killed one and then ate it (shit animation, no gore and the corpse didn't disappear). I thought it was pretty common. I'm still in the same solar system so I can go back and capture videos.

Funny to read so many people complaining about barren planets. From the 10 i visited 7 of them are full of fauna and flora. I am actually hoping for a barren scary looking planet next time.

Guys what's the best way to find a good multi-tool?

I've wandered on all my first system planets and I got a ton of blueprints for tech, but no multi-tool upgrade so far.

It's funny because I have a big ship (26 slots), a lot of cash, a good suit but a shitty multi-tool. Settlements and little stations on the ground were no luck.

Had a crappy bug where triggering a save would hard lock the PS4 for a good 10 seconds before resuming. Foolishly I kept going thinking it was still fine. Turns out none of the saves kept.

Keep an eye on your last save time in the Options menu, comes in handy for things like this.

Game is just crashing across the board. Sometimes on startup, sometimes on random tech wall units, often on hyper-drive warp.

Game should have been delayed further into September because this is fucking atrocious. Feels Early Access.

Played on PC for the first time yesterday. The inventory management is really a drag for me in this game. Every time I had a cool moment in the game, I heard the "inventory full" message and it just began to frustrate me.

Keep visiting buildings on planets, you can find them on the wall of outposts and the like, just like the blueprints. They look different, in a longer case.

Guys what's the best way to find a good multi-tool?

I'm 7 hours in and still on my first planet and i've seen two multi-tool upgrades. They were in boxes on the wall in rooms with an alien in them at different bases, i think they were the type with a landing pad. As i walked past the boxes they folded down and had a gun looking object on them, interact and you can see the specs etc and buy/swap if you want. Hope it helps.

FINALLY! After 3 systems full of tough or boring planets, I found...paradise. Full of animal and plant life, oceans, beautiful sights. I am never leaving.

Weird seeing all these people complain about the game crashing and it's only happened once to me coming out a warp. The game did freeze on me when I booted the game up for the first time. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few?

Game has me by the nuts. Don't care about playing anything else at this point and that won't change as long as it gets crazier once I
hit the centre and change galaxies
.

lol i just got in my ship and got shot straight up into the outer atmosphere which i guess is kinda nifty because i needed to hit up a space station anyways

Every single post with that had an alien and galactic store has had a multi tool. I think I'm at 19 slots now. Before that I had a 18 slot that looked alien.

It hangs on the wall and has red on either side. Even then allot of those aliens give tools if you answer them correctly. Two chances for a multi tool in one visit. I think it's a colonial post.

Use that share button. There's a screenshot thread.

A sign that you may have stopped being a peaceful explorer somewhere along the line: "Sentinels: Frenzied" reads as "Rich in Titanium" to you in the planetary info box.

Drone shows up. Drone gets shot. Another drone shows up. Repeat until inventory full. It's just like mining except the minerals shoot back. Actually, I have to give them a little credit. One of them managed to find out my cunning plan of "Just sit in the ship until they go away" by firing a single shot at the ship. The rest seem just fine hovering around challenging the ship to a staring contest.

I wonder how profitable Sentinel farming could be if I actually did it for the money.

I'm so entranced by this game guys... 4 hours last night and looks like 4 or 5 more tonight.. I just found a planet that has a ton of life and vegetation. I'm trying to discover everything here. Between this planet and the last one I've gotten a lot of suit slots.

Still don't know how to get a damn atlas key pass or whatever it's called. And still have no idea how to get into those buildings that have steel doors.

Shoot the doors with either the boltcaster or grenades.

Plasma Granade on the multitool is your best friend

I'm done with this game until some patches come out.

It's crashed on me four times in the last two hours. I'm pretty sure I have some sort of bug where even though I'm getting warp engine blueprint upgrades I can't even build any of them....

The amount of bugs present in this game are mind blowing. So disappointed I can't even put it into words.

Yeah the PC version has some major bugs it seems. My PC seems to lock up if I exit after I get a major fps drop.

I knew that there was a reason why you needed an upgraded warp drive for different class stars. The first thing I tried once I could warp was to find like a red giant or something and I found what looked like one on the galactic map. Said I needed to upgrade but the system it was pointing me to for the center was alot farther away. So I think the theory that those are "better" systems makes sense. Hope it's true.

Inventory question:

I have an upgrade for the Jetpack, that says it should be placed adjacent to the jetpack in the inventory. Except both slots immediately adjacent to the jetpack are already taken by Life Support and Hazard Protection. And those can't be moved or destroyed.

So where is it supposed to go? Just equip it in any random slot for a minor boost (that does work, right?)

yeah pc version is giving me some terrible bugs, but the main gameplay loop is fun enough, even though 4/5 planets for me so far are just muddy with obnoxious purple skies, that 5th planet can be so so gorgeous

Abandonned ruins , i solve the riddle and get a waypoint pointing me to some ruins , it's 35 mins away by foot
So i take my ship and I realise that the ruins are UNDERWATER !!

But i can't land my ship underwater !! so i fly back to the cost , craft an underwater upgrade , and start trying to swim to the ruin in the middle of the ocean ...

This is a ICE planet Btw ... between the failling of the heating system and smart usage of the jetpack , after minutes and minutes of hoping above the sea i arrive to the co-ordinates

Then i dive in the sea and then .... There is nothing at those co-ordinates ..

NOTHING ...

I got played like a damn fiddle !!!

WHY GAME ?

True story , when i got back to the surface , i didn't want to do the journey back to my ship so i loaded my save ... AND THE GAME CRASHED

I .... love this game sometimes.

I had one like that, turns out ot was actually on the other side of the planet but showed the marker as quickest going through the planets core for some reason.

Marooned Yak Update

I finally made it off the planet!

I spent probably 2 hours or so walking around, finally found a waypoint locator which, when triggered, showed me the location of an outpost that was 22 minutes walk away. I got there, and hilariously enough was able to summon my downed ship to the landing pad, and was finally able to buy the 2 freakin' zinc that I needed to repair it.

Wish I could rename that planet to Sucks Camel Dick.

YAY

ugh, sometimes my spaceship for some reason makes the frame rate drop to like 5 frames a second and i have to restart the game to make it work at a normal frame rate again.

anyone know a workaround?

The first time I access the Atlas orb thing, it didn't save. When I walked past it again I had to select Guidance a second time.

How do I know it worked for sure the second time? I am getting the little checklist to find hyperdrive parts, is that the guide or what I have that either way?

I have this same question. Made the upgrade but the game still thinks I haven't crafted it yet since I guess it's not next to the jetpack.

Finally struck it rich on a planet full of Emeril deposits and Albumen pearls. Got surprisingly into planning my pearl poach route, grabbing as many as I could, sprinting out of caves and taking off under fire. Ended up with 3m+ before pulling myself away and moving on, ready to make a nice ship upgrade purchase once my hyperdrive fuel runs out.

All upgrades work on their own. They just get synergy bonuses when next to kin or the parent component. With the jetpack, the latter is categorically impossible so just plunk the first upgrade wherever you want, and maybe prepare for the other similar upgrades that you get later so you can place those next to the first one.

Bought this for PC earlier, and I really enjoy it a lot!

Although, the framerate dropping is giving me a headache, so I feel like I cant play for a long period of time =(

Anyone else having issues with warping to the systems that say "warp reactor X required?" I have a Theta Warp Reactor and I can't go to one of the blue stars for some reason.

Congrats dude. I was rooting for you.

Btw I hope you know about boost dashing. Run then hit melee-jetpack. A lot faster than just running.
