So if I need Reactor Tau, I just need to hop around on a planet going to every outpost I can find? Been stuck with Sigma for a while now, running into plenty of roadblocks on the galaxy map.

I forgot where I got Tau. The Blueprint drops have been so random for me. Like I got a dupe for Sigma I think at a crashed ship site when I chose to take the tech instead of the ship.

Enjoying this game quite a bit so far, I really love just exploring the planets. My only real complaint is that the movement speed is fucking terribly slow. It makes me cautious about how far away I get from my ship which hurts the exploration aspect a bit. Hope there is a way to speed it up later on.

How do you get the first Atlas Pass? There are so many locked doors and resources that I need, but it keeps saying I need an Atlas Pass. I am still early in the game, but just curious when you obtain the first one.

You can cover a lot of ground fast with the sprint/melee/jetpack combo.

I wonder if this can come with 48 slots?

one of the few ships I like a little

Gonna try to get those atlas v2 and v3 passes, wish me luck! Also screw these space pirates. Only way I'm standing a chance with my barely upgraded pre order ship is to just mining laser their face.

Edit: I'm jealous Smiles, thats a good looking ship. Cant find one thats worth it.

I think the big golden balls at ruins being talked about are just part of the ruin that's broken off. You can't pick them up or anything but you can push them around and stuff like that. Sometimes they're still attached but other times they're on their own and you can play with them but ultimately they're just part of the ruin.

So I haven't checked the thread in a few days:

Anyone get an atlas pass v2/3 yet?

How far can I warp with all the reactors? I built em last night but the game crashed right after.

I recall seeing something about certain star types being locked out unless you have upgraded drives. Does the map show this clearly?

Think I might take a break for a awhile after tonight. game's getting too samey and the crashes are killing my drive to continue. Really hope they let us upgrade our ships in an update. Don't wanna farm up the mats for the reactors again and hate how the cargo ships look.

How do you get the completion bonus for discoveries? I thought it was just scanning all the species on the planet, but I finished the planet I'm on now and it only says 87%. On the first planet I was able to do it, but can't on this one. I scanned a few plants I missed, but the percentage hasn't changed. Am I just bugged?

you are missing animals

Few things...

Even though I was initially thinking I would be trading the game in since it is generally not my cup of tea, I just spent most of my Saturday night playing (my wife is babysitting our nephew), and I have to say, it has grown on me. No doubt.

With that said, I feel like I still have no real clue what I am doing, so a few questions for Gaf that I am hoping will perhaps expedite my enjoyment of the game itself.

So I have
successfully built hyperdrive once, and am I about to build it again. I just got the recipes for anti-matter and all of that. I am ready to make my next jump.
I spent most of the night just exploring the current planet I am on. Making friends. Learning a language. Finding lots of recipes. A whole lot actually. Which leads me to pretty much my one and only question...

How does one get more inventory slots?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The inventory management is literally driving me bonkers at this point in time.

How do you get Atlas Pass v1? There are so many doors I have on my 1st planets that I cannot open because I don't have Atlas Pass v1.
I'm pretty sure you have to

follow the first Atlas waypoint from early in the game after interacting with your monolith to a far system. Once you reach that waypoint you get the recipe

Correct me if I am wrong guys.

Playing more today and getting the hang of it more and understanding how things work in terms of upgrades/beacons.

Spending most of my time exploring worlds.

Found this one tonight:

My first "desolate" feeling world, snow covered, lots of water (strangley the water is liquid and not ice...).

The one thing I wish this game had...the ability to capture animals/catalog them better lol, like a Pokemon style type of thing where you could tame a creature and then take it to a space station and have it saved to visit/see later and compare them to other players creatures that they've found.

I found these earlier and they were so gosh darn adorable, followed me around (even though I never fed the big guy) and made kind of like a soft elephant like sound.

if you could build multiple items at the same time, this game would be broken with everybody rich as fuck.

The only reason that everyone isn't doing the bypass chip thing is how annoying it is to go one by one.

Paradise planets really are super rare. After 10 hours on the PS4 game and 15 hours on steam, i've come across only one. I'd estimate i've been to maybe 50 planets? Mostly wastelands.

Damn saw a ship I liked... 1.5million fuuuck I'm not there yet. I'll keep saving up for it. I'm close to a million, made my second jump. Not bored yet. Game is awesome.

The weirdest glitch just happened.

I bought a new ship, but i forgot to transfer my inventory. Thus is reload my last auto save and now i own the new ship? Although it has the same inventory (slots and resources) as my old ship and i didn't lose any credits.

How are you defining Paradise and wasteland? Seems there'd be a sliding scale between them.

After you close the game and open it again, you'll have your old ship back.

Happened to me after I got my warp drive installed and I felt it was OK to switch to the preorder ship... sadly after all that was done, it still shows my bonus ship as redeemed. BUT I have a much better ship.

I have seen at least 5 but they are not paradise looking by any stretch of the imagination. Only one that I found that was a real looking paradise was in the 5th system I found and called it Megalo.

I think I won the lottery.

I found a planet with these special pearls, which set off the sentinels as soon as you grab them. However in my star system each pearl is 97.5% more valuable. I think I will farm for a bit. I just need to find a on planet trading post. This planet is pretty awesome.

I don't know what they were thinking having upgrades take up an inventory slot.

Despite how useful some of them are (higher shields, increased mining speed), I don't craft any because an inventory space is infinitely more useful.

I rejected the atlas pass, and in my 3rd system had an anomoly appear which was an atlus station which gave me options, speaking to the alien on the console i got the V1 atlas pass blueprint

Do crashed ships always have more slots than your current one? I find them and some are as tiny and cheap looking as the starter ship, but they all seem to have 30 slots. One more than my current ship.

So should i relaunch the game before buying another ship? As i'm right about to buy one now.

I'm easily entertained.

The Rock is a rocky barren planet with a highly aggressive sentinel force

Leaving Las Vegas is a poisonous planet with acid rain constantly.

Bad Lieutenant is a tropical stormy/murky place

it all fits

i put this game on my niece's computer. and she was blown away by the concept of it until she found out you couldn't build a home or find your way back to old places because there's no map

way to go no man's sky, you even disappointed a 7-year-old
