Final Fantasy XV - 50 min video

It's present also in FF XIV. You can read more about it here:

I just realized enemies are labeled now. I don't think they were in Duscae.

Just to weigh in, I really loved this footage. Faith completely restored over here. I think we're in for a good game.

And I can't help but feel that the monsters/wildlife are the secret real stars of this game. Every one just looks and feels so alive.

DAYUM! I'm not really fond of Ignis' default outfit, but this one looks really good!

Gladio also! Perhaps I will stick with these outfits on my second playthrough. :3

Was thinking the same. xD

I'd like to use the default outfits on my first playthrough.

Man, this is legitimately the some of the best looking combat I've ever seen in a game.

You ask me why I prefer real-time action over turn-based? This is fucking why.

I don't even have a gaming PC but i would watch streams just to see the beauty of such version. I hope SE gives Tabata the green light for that enhanced version he would like to do. Here's hoping it reviews good and does well in the market.

At the moment the game does have its shares of problems but hopefully this dev times helps and future patches as well.

I watched the whooole thing during my lunch hour.

+ Soundtrack and sound design is amazing.
+ Combat looks snappy, responsive, and better paced.
+ Love the banter between the main characters.
+ The animation work done on the main characters in general is incredibly well done.
+ The UI is very simple and clean.
+ The Overworld Map is detailed and looks easy to navigate.
+ Old Noctis is sexy as fuck. Oof.
+ Chocobo racing.
+ Fishing mini games.
+ Ardyn being creepy as fuck at tail end. Everything about Ardyn is awkward to the max but him being some creepy dude who just shows up to give the guys a push in a certain direction works for the character I guess. I mean, Galenth Dysley basically fulfilled the same role in FF13 but at least Ardyn is easier on the eyes.

- Lot's of texture pop in. Aside from the obvious pop in issues on the overworld there was one scene where Cidney was chatting with the group and her goggles texture didn't pop in until the end of the conversation.
- The VA is all over the place. Noctis sounds great. Still not sold on Ignis. Gladio's sister sounds find. Cidney sounds ok. And after having to listen to Vanille in FF13 Cidney's accent doesn't really bother me. That scene with the reporter on the bench? What the shit was that. I get it's an NPC but it just really took me out of the experience.
- Still not sold on newspapers and radio announcements being used for the purpose of narrative and exposition. Metal Gear much?
- Game starts off in Hammerhead, you hear about the invasion from a newspaper, travel back to Insomnia, only to receive a phone call from Cor telling you to go back to Hammerhead? What the fuck? Meh.

Can anyone get any clear shots of the final boss or whatever at the beginning sitting on the throne? Also I'm convinced that that scene does not start with that opening shot of Noctis gasping, there has to be more build up. I refuse to believe Chapter 0 is literally just old sexy Noctis ice skating in that room while the naked Final Boss shoots fire at him from his chair.

Yea this sounds pretty bad too. Better than FFXV but nothing really praiseworthy in that video. It still sounds like a person standing behind a microphone instead of genuine heart felt acting.

Okay. I don't know what to tell you as I don't know what standard you're basing this off of, but other than FF12 Heavensward probably has the best VA of any localized game I've heard.

Wow, this is pretty much my very same set of impressions. Except that I actually like the VA in almost its entirety, with only very minor annoyances.

Versus XIII sold me on a PS3.

FFXV sold me on a PS4.

FFXV sold me on a PS4 Neo.

In all seriousness, they were what made the decision happen when it happened for these, and I fully plan to upgrade to a Neo on day one.

If this game has a second delay beyond November..........................

The game looks fantastic. Sure, the graphics need a little work, but it looks like on a technical standpoint everything looks good. 2 months to polish some IQ, AA, and LOD?

November feels like it's so far away...

Damn...spot on with how I feel

They're just trying to match the Japanese anime/video game penchant for overacting, seriously. At least Noctis' voice isn't grating.
Sure, but if you're going that route they should get people that can do it well. Just makes me think they shouldn't bother to match them, but I guess that's the cost of a WW simultaneous release.

Famitsu played from chapter0 to 3 while doing sub quests, took 25 hours, stil lots sub-contents such as fishing and exploring left

And that's just the first two or three regions (with many, many left). I expect the game to be a huge time sink if you want to do everything.

Game looked like it could use the extra time it has now to iron out some technical issues, and the VA isn't my favorite ever, but overall I'm excited for the game and can't wait to play it!

Jesus Christ, these battle themes... I already know they are going to become some of my favorite in the entire franchise. And that's saying a lot!

The only major city we know about is Atlissia right? and Tenabrae. Im expecting one more at the most... With small settlements along the way.

I know it's been done to death at this point but I am honestly flabbergasted that they settled on the four character designs that they did. It's just absurd. Like 3 of 4 designs with next to no redeeming qualities (Noct is the only one I like).

Bad hair, monochromatic, 100% leather, and then poor voice overs to top it off.

Still: please be good, please be good, please be good.

Do you know if they have published their impressions of the game yet?

25 hours for technically 3 chapters... the depth! I'm hyped.

Also, bleugh at that harmonica music. So grating. Florence and the Machine are dreadful too, very puzzling decision in my opinion.

The boss music continues to be the best in the franchise though.

Aside from some minor gripes, it really seems to have shaped together well. A bit of faith restored.

Thank god there's alt costumes.
